The sixth and final Day 1 starting flight of the 2015 Western New York Poker Challenge Event 5: $50 No-Limit Hold'em drew a whopping 335 entries and re-entries tonight, outpacing every other Day 1 flight.
A total of 39 survived, ending play when that number was reached nearing the end of the 14th level.
They will join the 83 who made it through the first five flights for Day 2 tomorrow. That means a total of 122 players will be vying for the title when play resumes at 12 p.m. Local time Thursday.
Kyle Badger grabbed the chip lead tonight on 199,300 with 10 other players bagging six-figure stacks. That puts Badger second in chips overall.
But he and everyone else will all be chasing Day 1d leader Shayne Shackelford and the massive 520,000-chip stack he built when they get going Thursday.
The PokerNews Live Reporting Team will be back on the floor of the Niagara Falls Poker Room at Seneca Niagara for Day 2 starting at 12 p.m. and keeping you up to date on all the action until a winner is crowned.
