Dave Lisacchi took down Event 6: $200 No-Limit Hold'em from the 2015 Western New York Poker Challenge early Friday morning. He snatched the $6,781 first-place prize after getting the best of a field of 150, including a masterful performance heads up against Buck Ramsay, coming back from more than a 2-1 deficit through sheer aggression.

Lisacchi laid back for most of the final table, at one point getting it all in against third-place finisher Maria Paralatore with just one-pair to her flopped wheel before going runner-runner to make a boat and survive.

While the final table took close to four hours, heads-up play lasted less than 30 minutes with Lisacchi putting on a clinic through showing down very few hands until he got Ramsay to commit with a draw against his third pair.

After winning that one, Lisacchi said he felt destined to take down the title and did so in fine fashion.

PokerNews' coverage of the 2015 Western New York Poker Challenge continues with Day 1a of the $200,000 guaranteed $1,000 buy-in Main Event beginning at 11 a.m local time Friday.

Buck Ramsay Eliminated in 2nd Place ($4,191)

Dave Lisacchi raised up the button and Buck Ramsay called. The flop fell {a-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} and after Ramsay checked, Lisacchi led out for 100,000.

Ramsay check-raised to 250,000 and Lisacchi called. The turn brought the {k-Spades} and after a minute in the tank, Ramsay pushed all in. Lisacchi called with {J-Hearts}{9-Hearts} and was ahead of Ramsay's {j-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} flush draw.

The {3-Hearts} river was not a diamond and Ramsay was eliminated in second place.

Russ Lazzara Eliminated in 7th Place ($969)

Maria Paralatore made it 40,000, Blake Napierala called and Russ Lazzara fired in his last 110,000.

Paralatore came over the top all in and Napierala open-folded jacks. It was Paralatore with {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs} dominating Lazzara's {a-Spades}{4-Spades}.

No funny stuff on the {6-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} run out saw Lazzara go out seventh.
