Parlatore Spins It Up

Level 10 : 500/1,000, 100 ante
Maria Parlatore
Maria Parlatore

Maria Parlatore was down to three chips. Her little golden green frog card protector was bigger than the stack. One yellow, two blacks: 5,200.

The she more than doubled it with eights, making a set. A little while later, jacks did the trick, as she got it all in three ways against the {a-}{j-} and the the {k-}{3-}, holding to triple.

She's now on 65,000. A stack significantly taller than the frog now.

Kurtis Boutelle
Kurtis Boutelle

Kurtis Boutelle busted a player calling down a three barrell bluff with top pair on a ten-high board, then he bluffed Brett Collson off a set on a super-wet board to win a more-than 40,000-chip pot.

He's now got over 180,000 and will be taking the chip lead into a 45-minute dinner break that starts in just a few minutes.

Play will resume at approximately 7 p.m. local time, and when it does, the registration and reentry period will officially close.

They go to dinner with the board reading 262 entries with 147 remaining.

Parlatore's Pothole

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Maria Parlatore just ran over a pothole on her road from short stack to glory.

Glassman Sharpens Up

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

East Coast tournament killer and 2016 WSOP Colossus II 10th-place finisher Hayden Glassman is making moves up the leaderboard now.

He bet a {k-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{6-Spades} flop and after one player called, a third three-bet. Glassman was the only caller, and after the {10-Clubs} turn came down, he checked. Glassman's opponent shoved for more than he had behind and Glassman called it off with the {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}.

His opponent had the {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs} and missed on the {2-Hearts} river to double Glassman up.

Blaszckak Spell Checks LaRouech

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Ted Blaszckak just doubled through perennial contender Ray LaRouech in a classic cooler to build a six-figure stack.

They traded bets until Blaszckak shoved with the {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades} for 51,000 total and LaRouech called off with the {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}, leaving himself about 40,000 behind.

Aces held on a {q-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{7-Hearts} drama-free board.

Beshay Called His Shot

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 200 ante
Peter Beshay
Peter Beshay

Peter Beshay stopped by the Niagara Falls Poker Room on Friday to call his shot, claiming he would win the 2016 Seneca Niagara Falls Summer Slam Main Event.

He actually signed up to play today and things are going according to his plan. A few moments ago he joined the small blind in defending his big blind against a 3,500-chip open from Charles Johnson. The blinds checked to Johnson on a {j-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} flop, and he continued for 5,500.

The small blind folded and Beshay check-raised, making it 13,000. Johnson called, but when Beshay open-jammed the {7-Spades} turn, he folded, allowing Beshay to push his stack up to 155,000 and a spot near the top of the leaderboard.
