Brunskole Extends

Level 28 : 40,000/80,000, 5,000 ante

Matt Brunskole has found some separation from the pack after pushing Lue Huang off a 1.5 million chip pot.

It looked like Brunskole put in a big raise when Huang led the flop from the big blind on a {3-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} board.

Lue called and checked the {8-Diamonds} turn. With 1.5 million in the middle at that point, Bruckole shoved for 1.8 million effective. Lue tanked it out, but found the fold.

Home Town Hero Doubles!

Level 29 : 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante
Jason Nablo

Matt Brunskole had his foot firmly on the gas and cruised up to five million in chips putting on maximum pressure the whole way.

The rest of the chip stacks looked about the same as they played a five handed waiting game, with Brunskole continuing to dominate halfway through the level.

Suddenly, local hero Jason Nablo flopped a set of sixes against Brunskole's pocket aces and got it all in for 1.3 million.

Brunskole was brought back down to earth and Nablo has gone from the shortest of the five to a contender for the lead.

Lue On Top

Leu Huang

They passed chips around for a while before Lue Huang booked a big score through Matt Brunskole.

He defended his blind to a Brunskole raise and after flopping two pair, jacks and fours, Huang check-called a Brunskole continuation bet. It went check-check on the {a-} turn, but Lue led for almost 800,000 on the brick-like river. Brunskole called and mucked.

Here's how the stacks look now with Lue on top.

Matt Marcinkiewicz Eliminated in 5th Place ($7,605)

Jason Nablo made it 275,000 and Matt Marcinkiewicz spoke up.

"Maybe a million?" he asked, pushing his stack in.

Nablo thought about it and called with the {a-Spades}{j-Spades}. Marcinkiewicz was racing for his tournament life with the {10-Spades}{10-Clubs} and Nablo got there right away on a {j-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{3-Spades} flop. The {a-Diamonds} turn only improved Nablo and Marcinkiewicz said goodbye when the {5-Spades} river was not a ten.

Bye bye Beardo, bye bye.

Kaplin Takes Hold

Leo Kaplin

There's only 75 big blinds on the whole table and with stacks this shallow things change fast.

Leo Kaplin is now the overwhelming chip leader and Lue Huang is short.

Kaplin just keeps beating Huang out of million-chip pots and now Huang has even less than that.

Below you can see how the final four looks halfway through Level 31:

Chips kept flying around until Lue Huang had some again and raised it to 355,000. Jason Nablo shoved a little under two million with the {a-Spades}{8-Hearts}.

Oops, Huang had the {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs} and snap-called with even more behind. The board ran out {q-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{9-Clubs} and the local legend was no more, although the $10K score should soften the blow.

Down to three now it's Huang chasing Leo Kaplin for the lead and Matt Brunskole bringing up the rear right now.
