Bracken Bests a Better Hand

Level 7 : 400/800, 100 ante

After having to re-enter, Ben Bracken wasted no time getting his fresh stack back in the middle but found himself in a dominated position. Bracken held the {a-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} against an opponent's {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}. Bracken found a ten on the flop and was able to fade the rest of the board to score the double up.

Kaplin Cracks Aces

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

We didn't catch the action but a pile of chips had accumulated in the middle between Leo Kaplin and a heads-up opponent. The board read {7-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{k-Hearts} and both player's hands were face up.

Kaplin had top pair with the {k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} but was behind his opponent's {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}. The {9-Clubs} on the turn gave Kaplin some additional outs and as luck would have it, the {k-Spades} hit the river and Kaplin dragged in a sizeable pot.

Bionto Scores the Double Up

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

John Bionto three-bet shoved for 14,700 and was put at risk by a neighbor at the table.

John Bionto: {7-Diamonds}{7-Spades}
Opponent: {2-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}

Bionto was in great shape to double up and even hit a set on the flop of a {j-Hearts}{a-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{9-Spades}, fading a flush on the board on the river that would have chopped the pot.
