Mantzios Waves Adios

Level 11 : Blinds 1,500/2,500, 2,500 ante

Rayhaan Adam raised from an early position and was called only by Paul Mantzios in the small blind, who then led the J63 flop for 8,000. Adam raised to 25,000 only for Mantzios to shove as Adam asked for a count.

The all-in was for 69,000 and Adam called.

Paul Mantzios: J7 All in
Rayhaan Adam: J8

The minor kicker advantage played on the 2 turn and K river to eliminate Mantzios.

Adam Knocks Out Mazor

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Rayhaan Adam raised and then called a three-bet shove by Nadav Mazor for eleven blinds out of the blinds.

Nadav Mazor: K8 All in
Rayhaan Adam: J9

The 1082 flop gave Adam an open-ended straight draw and the 7 turn improved Adam to the straight. He needed to dodge clubs and did so with the 3 river. Mazor sighed, grabbed his belongings and told the bad news to his brother Elai before heading out of the tournament area.

OrdHume Doubles Back Into Contention

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Soon after the action resumed upon completion of the dinner break, Rayhaan Adam raised to 5,000 first to act. Paul Mantzios in the small blind and Mathew OrdHume in the big blind called. It checked to OrdHume on the K43 flop and he jammed for 14,000, only Mantzios called.

Mathew OrdHume: KQ All in
Paul Mantzios: 66

The J turn and 9 river brought no upset, as OrdHume doubled.

Moments later, Brian Rettman walked past the table as he was knocked out on the live stream table by Keegan Pillay.

Tucker Eliminated in Three-Way All-In

Level 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
Jehan Richards
Jehan Richards

On a flop showing J97, it checked to Jehan Richards who bet 5,000. Vishal Ghoorbin called before Greg Tucker jammed a shorter stack of around 28,000. Richards also moved all-in and Ghoorbin eventually called.

Greg Tucker: K9 All in
Jehan Richards: QJ All in
Vishal Ghoorbin: 42

"Give me spades!" Ghoorbin demanded and Richards instantly replied "yeah, give him spades" because Ghoorbin actually had the club flush draw. The 5 turn and 4 river were blanks and Tucker was eliminated, Ghoorbin only then noticed how silly his request had been.

Mazor Sends Kossew and Ioannoy Packing

Level 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
Nic Ioannoy
Nic Ioannoy

Jedd Kossew raised to 3,500 and Nic Ioannoy called. Elai Mazor then three-bet to 14,500 on the button only for Kossew and Ioannoy to move all-in. Mazor asked for the stack size of Ioannoy's bigger shove, which happened to be for 53,300, and Mazor then called.

Jedd Kossew: JJ All in
Nic Ioannoy: 108 All in
Elai Mazor: AQ

"I like your hand ... I gonna need one of them," Ioannoy told Kossew.

The Q62 flop vaulted Mazor into the lead, which he retained throughout the 10 turn and 2 river to knock out two players.

"You told me you were gonna get me," Ioannoy told Mazor, who nodded while raking in the chips.

Taliwanth No More; Mazor and SM Thrive

Level 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
SM
SM

Elai Mazor rivered a superior flush with KJ versus 76 on a board of 33274 to knock out an opponent before Nic Ioannoy then arrived and instantly got his 40,000 stack in preflop. Cliton Taliwanth called with the marginally covering stack and they flipped.

Nic Ioannoy: KQ All in
Cliton Taliwanth: JJ

"I have the same hand as yesterday when I busted you ..." Taliwanth joked and Ioannoy replied "ah, when you rivered the nine".

It was a classic flip and Ioannoy got there with the AK6102 runout.

Taliwanth was down to a mere 8,000 and all-in shortly after with the 55. Another short stack was involved with the K8 and SM jammed over the top to isolate both with the AK.

The current chip leader smashed the 722A4 runout to send two opponents packing.

It's All About SM Right Now

Level 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Marriette Language
Marriette Language

SM raised to 2,400 and Maverick Zackey called on the button, as did the big blind. On a K86 flop, the big blind check-folded when SM bet 5,000 and Zackey called. They headed to the 9 turn on which SM bet another 25,000 and Zackey called after using one time bank.

That led to the 4 river on which SM jammed. Zackey quickly called and was shown the AA.

"That's fucked up, " Maverick gritted as he briefly flashed the cards to the table and departed.

One hand later, SM raised the very same amount and Vishal Ghoorbin called one seat over. One further player came along before Marriette Language got her last 6,000 in out of the big blind without checking at her cards. SM reraised to 20,000 and isolated successfully.

SM tabled his KQ and Language joked "is that all?" before she turned over her cards: 43! "Oh, I have a chance," she joked.

Neither player connected with the A86J6 board and SM scored the second knockout in a row.

Courtney Bounces Back With a Big Pot

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Nahum Lum
Nahum Lum

Four ways to the 765 flop, Nahum Lum was all-in for a short stack of around 11,000 and Stephen Courtney raised to 28,000. Paul Mantzios called and Damon Fine folded. The A on the turn was checked by the two active players and the 4 river brought a four-card straight on the board as well.

Courtney now bet 35,000 and Mantzios asked for the bet sizing before declaring "call".

Courtney tabled K10 for the nut flush and Mantzios mucked QQ, Lum was eliminated with the J8.

"I folded tens," Fine mentioned in the table chat.

Lingenfelder Sends Taliwanth to the Rebuy Desk

Level 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante
Cliton Taliwanth
Cliton Taliwanth

Cliton Taliwanth had dropped below the starting stack and then fired three barrels in a heads-up duel with table neighbour Benjamin "Guppie" Lingenfelder. His bets of 3,500 on the J88 flop and 6,500 on the 4 turn were called, so was the shove for 10,500 on the K river.

Taliwanth showed A3 for a bluff and Lingenfelder had that beat with the K2. He re-entered shortly after.

Things Go From Fine to Rough Quickly

Level 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante
Damon Fine; Peter Smith and Nic Ioannoy
Damon Fine; Peter Smith and Nic Ioannoy

Nic Ioannoy bagged up nearly six starting stacks last night but entered Day 1c in an attempt to run up even more chips or have some fun splashing around. The first of the preflop all-ins saw him at risk against Damon Fine for a big portion of the starting stack.

Nic Ioannoy: J9 All in
Damon Fine: AK

The board ran out 8756K and Ioanniy doubled to leave Fine short.

Fine then jammed for 4,500 soon after and Peter Smith called. Ioannoy jammed behind for 60,300 and Smith folded after getting a count.

Damon Fine: 108 All in
Nic Ioannoy: KQ

Fine predicted to hit a straight flush but the [AdAhJKc3hKd] runout further piled misery on his already disastrous day of all-in showdowns.
