Daniel Allen

The final day of Event 8: $1,600 Mystery Bounty $1 Million Guaranteed is about to begin and the excitement is in the air, as one lucky player will pull a $100,000 bounty here at The Lodge Poker Club. There were a total of 659 entries over the starting flights, and now just 85 are taking seats on Day 2.

Leading the way into the final day of the event is Daniel Allen who crushed the Day 1g flight, ending the night with 1,066,500 and is the only seven-figure stack in the field. The last flight of the event saw Ian Tang almost break that mark, pulling in 964,000 chips for the start of today, good for second on the leaderboard. Rounding out the top five are Brian Lee (769,500), Elliot Smith (756,500), and Chad Pelton (749,000).

All returning players will now have a shot at securing the $100,000 bounty prize. Scoring a knockout will earn you a bounty chip, which you can redeem at any point in the event for a chance to pull an envelope that contains a minimum of $1,000 with the biggest prize being a hefty $100,000.

John Driver pushed his 75,000 stack into the middle and Ian Vertefuille followed suit, calling his 52,000. "That's not much at all," said Jason Gooch from the big blind as he called to put two players at risk.

Ian Vertefuille: {k-Hearts}{4-Hearts}
John Driver: {8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}
Jason Gooch: {10-Clubs}{7-Spades}

A one-man chant of "Ten! Ten! Ten!" came from Gooch and the dealer then spread {10-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{3-Spades} put on the felt. Gooch continued his song right up until the {3-Clubs}{4-Clubs} runout had completed the board.

Gooch stacked up the chips and added two bounties to his stack thanks to a flopped pair of tens.
