Day 3 of Event #13 $3,000 Main Event has come to an end after about eight hours of play that saw the day begin with 39 players and end with only six.

Eric Afriat ended the day as chip leader with 9,355,000 leads the six remaining players. Afriat took the reins midway through the day and spun his stack up to the top, he would level out at the start of the final table before hitting turbo to the top once again before the end of the night with a few key hands.

Second in chips to end the night was Alain Bauer with 7,880,000. He had a similar trajectory to Afriat as he put the pedal to the medal in the final few hands to skyrocket to the top after having become a serious player about halfway through the day.

Nir Cohen finished the day in third place with 6,225,000 after he won a large portion of his stack before the final table.

The day began with 39 players and was quickly cut down to the final three tables in just over an hour.

Some well-known players were cut down during the march to the final table, including Andrew Moreno in 22nd, Alex Keating in 20th after having had a large chip count in the early parts of the day and Stephen Song was eliminated in fourteenth in a brutal way when his kings were spilled by a rivered set of sevens.

The final table would be reached at around 9 p.m. where Mohammad Bagheri would become the first victim against Afriat in ninth place. Schuyler Thornton was then taken out in eighth place by Cohen and to end the night, Farid Jattin went from one of the biggest stacks to start the final table to out the door on the live stream bubble after losing big hands to Bauer and Afriat before being finished off by Rivero

The remaining six players return to the scene of the battle tomorrow at 2 p.m. to blinds at 32:38 left in Level 25 with blinds at 30,000/60,000 where they will play down to the winner.
