The Day 1 starting flights for Event #4: $400 NLH $500,000 Guaranteed will conclude today at The Lodge Poker Club here in Round Rock, Texas. The previous flights have accumulated 819 entries, having 100 find a bag for the second day, and leading the way is Day 1d qualifier Eider Da Cruz with a hefty 506,000 stack.

Day 1e and Day 1f will be the last chance for anyone to climb aboard the Day 2 train. Anyone who has bagged more than once by the start of Day 2 will receive a $600 stack bonus for each additional bag, carrying their highest-valued bag into the second day.

All players will begin with 20,000 in chips to start the day, on blinds of 100/100 which will increase every 30-minutes. Late registration will remain open until the start of Level 9, with unlimited re-entries during that time.

A bigger field means more survivors, but the number is still set at the top 12% advancing from each flight. Those survivors then bag up for Day 2 which will begin on Sunday, May 8, at 2 p.m. where they will be guaranteed at least a min-cash.

As always, the PokerNews live reporting team will be bringing all of the updates, so stay tuned as the action unfolds.

Day 1E Exploding Early

Level 1 : 100/100, 0 ante

The penultimate flight here in Event #4: $400 NLH $500,000 Guaranteed began with 83 runners and has already reached 135 registrants just halfway through the first level.

Heygood Finds Ladies Early

Level 1 : 100/100, 0 ante

Michael Heygood opened to 300 from under the gun and Michael Saizan called to take a peek at the {10-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} flop. Saizan called a continuation bet of 600 by Heygood and the dealer flipped over a {6-Spades}.

Heygood bet 1,500 and again Saizan called. The board was completed with the {9-Clubs} and Heygood opted to check his option.

Saizan threw in 2,000 and before the chips hit the table, Heygood called the bet, tabling {q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} for an over pair of ladies. Saizan mucked and Heygood took down an early pot.

Bullets Show Up for Thompson

Level 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

The table showed 5,600 in front of both Matthew Thompson and Gawain Visagie. A {5-Hearts}{3-Spades}{3-Hearts} flop was spread on the felt and Thompson tapped the table.

Visagie announced he was all-in and Thompson snap-called for less, putting in 10,300. Both players tabled their hands with Thompson at risk.

Matthew Thompson: {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}
Gawain Visagie: {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}

Rockets were sitting well in front of the big slick and the {2-Hearts}{3-Clubs} runout altered not a thing. Thompson scooped in an early double, leaving Visagie short to start the day.
