After one hand of hand for hand play, Brian Sumpter was all in with his short stack of 21,000 and was called by Thomas Hill.

Sumpter started to say "winner's win!" over and over as the dealer dealt the flop the turn was the to the delight of Sumpter but the river snatched it al away as the came off to eliminate him on the bubble and bring the field to the money and end the flight.

Topping the nine survivors was Fausto Saucedo of Las Vegas who bagged up 395,000. He edged out Mahesh Rathi who had an up and down day but finished with a large stack of 386,000.

Thomas Hill bagged up their place with 315,500 and Nathan Hays finished with 254,000 to be the players with the most substantial stacks.
WSOP bracelet winner Michael Noori made a deep run and came close to bagging but ended up faltering a few elimination short of the money and advancing.
The nine players will move on to Day 2 at 2 p.m. on Tuesday where they will join every survivor from Days 1b, 1c and 1d in which the mystery bounty format will begin.
