Once again Adam Friedman opened for 650, and this time he got two callers in the form of Ken Payne and Mike Ermie on the button and big blind respectively. The flop saw Ermie check, Friedman continued fro 675, and Payne fold. Ermie made the call and it was heads up to the turn.
Ermie proceeded to check-call a bet of 1,025 before leading out for 3,200 on the river. Friedman didn't seemed pleased by the bet and thought for a long time.
"Please don't say what I had," he said to us before tossing in a call. We'd have reported it, but we can't as he mucked when Ermie rolled over the for jacks full of queens.
Mike Ermie raised to 900 from middle position and Adam Friedman three-bet to 2,000 from the hijack. Rick Terrill then four-bet all in from the cutoff for 9,675. Ermie folded and Friedman immediately began to verbally analyze the hand.
Friedman's "want action?" was met with a quick "every day" from Terrill. Friedman continued to talk his way through things, eventually calling, noting "if this wasn't a reentry I would probably fold." Terrill slow rolled the inferior one card at a time and Friedman was relieved to see his ahead.
The board ran out as Terrill was eliminated and Friedman's second bullet is still in the chamber.
"Well, there goes the first bullet," World Series of Poker bracelet winner and HPT champ Adam Friedman said, marking the first time he's ever busted a MSPT event.
We missed the hand, but Friedman was kind enough to fill us in on the details. According to him he raised to 1,000 under the gun with and Ken Payne three-bet to 2,500 from the button. Friedman responded with a four-bet to 5,200, Payne called (even though he said he knew Friedman had aces... at least according to Friedman), and the flop came down with two diamonds.
Both players checked, and then Friedman put out a bet on the turn. Payne called and ended up moving all in after Friedman checked when a second appeared on the river. Friedman called off with his aces and kings, but it was no good as Payne had gotten extremely luck to make trips with .
Friedman said he'll be back, though he's not sure if he'll jump in later tonight or wait until tomorrow. Time will tell.
