On Thursday, with three starting flights on tap at Mid-States Poker Tour FireKeepers Casino, players seemingly had infinite time to qualify for Day 2 on championship Sunday. That time is nearly over, as only the last of the three starting flights remains, with Day 1c ready to kick off at noon local time here in Battle Creek, Mich.

Romer Wins a Preflop Raising War

Johnson Chases Away Two in Three-Bet Pot

The player on the button opened for 350, and Jason Johnson three-bet to 1,075 in the small blind. Dan Bekavac called in the big blind, as did the opener. Johnson continued for 1,350 on the
