Bingel Done; Luong Holds With Kings

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
Matt Bingel
Matt Bingel

Matt Bingel came into the day with high hopes and a big stack, but he was down to just over one big blind after running his {a-}{q-} into the {a-}{k-} of nemesis Gene Gioia, who again held unimproved. He busted the next hand.

At another table, Phillip Luong three-bet to 27,000 over a button open and saw the big blind jam for about 60,000. Luong called with {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts} and held against {7-Spades}{7-Hearts} to bust his neighbor.

Bohn Talks Sawaqdeh Into a Call

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
Blake Bohn
Blake Bohn

Jamal Sawaqdeh bet 13,000 on a {6-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{9-Hearts} flop from the cutoff, and Blake Bohn raised to 28,000 on the button. Sawaqdeh called, check-calling another 20,000 on the {9-Spades}. He then came out betting with 20,000 of his own on the {a-Clubs} river, but Bohn snap-shoved for 79,500 more.

As Sawaqdeh thought, Bohn made the unusual move of asking the dealer to spread the pot when he wasn't the one to act.

"You're not calling," Bohn said. "Let's get going, we've got blinds."

"Or, you could be a hero," he added. "Bust this guy from Minnesota who comes down and tries to win your tournaments."

After another couple of minutes Sawaqdeh pushed forward calling chips, mucking when Bohn showed {6-Clubs}{6-Spades} for a boat.

Boudreau Gets a Bubble Fold; Players in the Money

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Kevin Boudreau
Kevin Boudreau

Kevin Boudreau opened to 24,000 in the hijack, and Jamal Sawaqdeh made it 60,000 in the cutoff. Boudreau responded with an all in shove for about 240,000 effective to put Sawaqdeh at risk. Sawaqdeh contemplated for about three or four minutes before mucking {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds} face-up. Boudreau showed {4-Diamonds}{4-Spades}.

Elsewhere, a player went but during hand-for-hand to burst the money bubble.

Boudreau Busts Trimble to Take Huge Lead

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Nick Trimble
Nick Trimble

Nick Trimble opened for 25,000, and Kevin Boudreau made it 80,000 from his left in the hijack. Trimble called after some thought, and a {10-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} flop hit. Trimble check-called 100,000 from Boudreau. A {5-Hearts} brought a three-flush, and Trimble checked again. Boudreau double-checked his holding then pushed forward two full stacks, 200,000. Trimble announced he was all in, and Boudreau snap-called, tabling {a-Spades}{q-Hearts} for top pair and a flush draw. Trimble was in awful shape with {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs}, needing a non-heart queen. Red paint arrived, but it was the {j-Diamonds}, no help to Trimble, who had about 400,000 in his stack on the turn.

Three Eliminations

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante
Travis Northrope
Travis Northrope

Tyrone Nagle just got eliminated by Jon Cohen on a final board of {6-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} with {9-Hearts}{9-Spades} against Jon Cohen, who held {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades}. We didn't see when the money went in.

At another table, Max Chrisp was down to 40,000 after his straight flush draw made the flush against an opponent who rivered a full house. He busted in short order.

At the third table, Travis Northrope busted out, losing the last of his short stack to Kevin Boudreau.

Wally Printz Eliminated in 9th Place ($7,935)

Level 26 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante
Wally Printz
Wally Printz

Jon Cohen opened for 85,000 under the gun, and Wally Printz reraised to 260,000 on the button. Big blind Kane Lai cold-called, and Cohen came along as well. The flop came {j-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{3-Hearts}, and Lai bet out 300,000. Cohen folded, but Printz put it all in for just about 40,000 more, which was quickly called.

Printz: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}
Lai: {8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}

Lai was ahead for the moment but all the drama disappeared as an {8-Spades} arrived to give him an unbeatable set.

Lai Calls Down Boudreau

Level 27 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante
Kane Lai
Kane Lai

Kevin Boudreau opened under the gun to 125,000 and got calls from Kane Lai (middle position) and Nick Pupillo. The latter checked the {10-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}{6-Spades} flop, and Boudreau bet 250,000. Only Lai called. The turn brought {10-Hearts}, and Lai called another barrel of 500,000. On the {8-Clubs} river, Boudreau thought a minute and then fired a final bullet of 800,000. Lai leaned back in his chair and thought for about 90 seconds before announcing a call.

Boudreau flipped {9-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} for a pair and flush draw on flop that bricked off, and Lai turned over {a-Clubs}{q-Spades}.
