Terry Ring - Eliminated

A player under the gun raised to 5,500. Terry Ring called in middle position. Action folded to Yousri Ali, who set out a stack of pink chips, totaling 100,000 and putting all other players at risk for their tournament lives.

Jim Fowler looked down at his cards and thought for a moment before he hesitantly folded his hand. The original under the gun raiser also folded. Ring quickly called.

Terry Ring: {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}
Yousri Ali: {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}

The board ran out {2-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{2-Spades}{5-Spades}, eliminating Ring from the tournament and giving Ali an even more commanding chip lead.

Tom Hanson Makes Huge Lay Down

Level 14 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Yousri Ali raised to 10,000 in middle position. Action folded to Tom Hanson in the big blind who went into the tank.

After a minute Ali called the clock on Hanson, assuming that Hanson was tanking since we are so close to the end of play for the day.

After thirty seconds, Hanson slides his cards forward and says, "That was a good hand there."

Ali flashes {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}. The table was shocked. But they were even more shocked when Hanson reached forward and showed his mucked cards: {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}.

Aaron Johnson said, "I quit life. I can't even play my big blind after that."

While the table congratulated Hanson on the excellent laydown he said, "The guy is just running too hot. No one can win."

Hanson can be happy that he still has 30,000 instead of potentially being eliminated if he had made the call.
