What a Treat: Matakis Sends One to the Rail

Minnesota's Ian Matakis raised to 5,500 from early position and two players called before Scott Treat called off his last 2,000 from the button. The lady on the button then three-bet all in for 15,000 and Matakis isolated with a four-bet to 25,000. That drove off the two limpers and all three hands were turned up.

The flop gave both Matakis and the lady on the button a set, while Treat picked up the flush draw. The turn was of no consequence but the river was.

Treat made the flush to win the side pot while Matakis made some money by claiming the side.

Singletary Wins the Flip

Al Singletary was in middle position and opened big by making it 21,000 to go. The player on the button responded by reraising all in for 60,000, both blinds folded, and Singletary called.

It was a flip and Singletary, who had most of his stack at risk, was just looking to hold. He did one better than that though as the flop gave him a set. The turn locked it up for the former MSPT FireKeepers final tablist and he was pushed the pot after the meaningless was run out on the river.

Trips Aren't Good Enough, Uminn Binks River

A player raised to 6,000 under the gun, Mark Uminn called from the hijack and the small blind came along aswell.

The flop came and the preflop raiser put out a continuation bet of 12,000. Uminn called and the other player folded.

The board paired the ace on the turn card and Uminn's last 25,500 ended up in the middle and he was behind.
