Milbank Fires Big on the River

Level 2 : 75/150, 0 ante
Scott Milbank
Scott Milbank

A player under the gun raised to 425 and got called by three players, including Scott Milbank in the hijack.

The original raiser put out a continuation bet of 600 when the flop came {k-Hearts}{q-Spades}{j-Clubs}. Milbank called and the other players folded.

Milbank called a bet of 1,100 on the {9-Spades} turn card and bet 4,000 when the action checked to him on the {10-Clubs} river. His opponent was visibly frustrated and mucked {10-}{10-} face up.

Covic Has Opponent Drawing Slim

Level 2 : 75/150, 0 ante
Azret Covic
Azret Covic

Three players saw a flop of {6-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{2-Clubs} and the player in the big blind led for 500, a player in middle position raised to 1,600 and Arzet Covic moved all in for 4,700. The player in the big blind folded, and the player in the hijack didn't like it but put in the chips to call.

Azret Covic: {a-Clubs}{9-Clubs}
Opponent: {9-Diamonds}{8-Spades}

The {k-Diamonds} turn changed nothing and the {8-Clubs} river improved Covic's opponent to two pair. But the third club on board also improved Covic to the nut flush and he was able to get the double up.

Norris Takes from Heine

Level 3 : 100/200, 0 ante
Bryan Norris
Bryan Norris

Bryan Norris limped under the gun and the next player to act did the same. When action reached MSPT Meskwaki champ Keith Heine in the hijack, he raised to 825. Pieter Mol called from the small blind, Norris called, and the other limper came along to make it four-way action to the {6-Hearts}{3-Spades}{10-Clubs} flop.

Three checks saw Heine continue for 1,075 and both Mol and Norris called. The other limper got out of the way and then the triumvirate all checked the {2-Clubs} turn.

Mol checked for the third time on the {6-Spades} river and Norris bet 2,800. Heine wasted little time in making the call and Mol folded.

Norris tabled the {4-Hearts}{5-Hearts} for a straight and it was good as Heine sent his hand to the muck unseen.
