Three More Hands

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

The remaining players will play three more hands before Day 1c comes to a close. Stay tuned for a list of players that were able to find a bag and recap of today's action.

Smith on the Winning Side of a Cooler

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Doug Smith
Doug Smith

Doug Smith raised to 12,000 after one player had already limped. The button called and the big blind moved all in for 115,500. The limper folded and Smith quickly called. The button sent his hand into the muck and the two remaining players turned their hands over.

Doug Smith: {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}
Opponent: {q-Clubs}{q-Hearts}

Smith had it locked up after the flop as it came {3-Clubs}{a-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}. The meaningless {k-Hearts} and {2-Clubs} completed the board and Smith collected the 250,000 chip pot.

High Fives for Samona

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Travis Samona
Travis Samona

Action folded to Travis Samona on the button and he moved all in for 70,000. Travis Stover was in the small blind and he opted to jam over the top and that drove away the player in the big blind.

Travis Samona: {5-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}
Travis Stover: {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}

It was a flip but not after the flop came down {a-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{4-Spades} to pair Stover and give him a big lead. It was only temporary however as the dealer burned and turned the {5-Spades} to give Samona a set.

All hope was not lost for Stover though as he held the only spade. The dealer burned one last time and put out the {6-Clubs} on the river. Stover missed and Samona doubled through.

Timothy Herek was in the hijack and raised to 7,500, the player next to act called and the small blind moved all in for 50,000. Herrick started the hand with 45,500 and called of the remainder of his stack. The last player left to act folded and it was off to the races.

Timothy Herek: {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}
Opponent: {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}

Herek liked the looks of the flop as it came {9-Hearts}{8-Spades}{6-Clubs}. The {10-Spades} turn gave his opponent one less out, and the {5-Diamonds} river sealed it. Herek got the crutial double up he needed here late on Day 1c.
