PokerStars co-founder Mark Scheinberg is selling one of the most insane yachts you'll ever see.
The billionaire Israeli-Canadian investor and son of perennial Poker Hall of Fame candidate, Isai Scheinberg, owns Synthesis, an award-winning Dutch superyacht valued in the nine-figure range.
That yacht, according to autoevolution, is up for sale and Scheinberg, who founded PokerStars in 2001 with his father, is seeking $152.5 million in exchange for keys to the yacht.
Costs More Than a Lavish Mansion
Synthesis is 70 meters of luxury in length with six cabins, enough space to accommodate an entire football team. Scheinberg's megayacht serves as, more or less, a floating resort with stunning decor, a state-of-the-art fitness area, full kitchenette, and bedrooms fit for a lavish beach resort. The yacht was built by Amels, a Dutch shipbuilding company with roots dating back to 1918.
Mark Scheinberg, now 53, launched PokerStars with his father when he was in his 20's. PokerStars was one of the early online poker sites, and the family that originally owned it built it into an industry giant.
PokerStars, under the Scheinberg leadership, grew into the biggest online poker site in the world in the 2000s, and remains the industry standard still to this day. The Scheinberg's sold the company to Amaya Gaming in 2014 for $4.9 billion.
“I am incredibly proud of the business Isai and I have built over the last 14 years, creating the world’s biggest poker company and a leader in the iGaming space. Our achievements and this transaction are an affirmation of the hard work, expertise and dedication of our staff, which I am confident will continue to drive the company’s success," Mark Scheinberg said at the time of the sale.
After moving on from PokerStars, Mark Scheinberg started Mohari Hospitality, an investment firm focused on the luxury hospitality sector. His firm, in 2023, acquired a majority stake in Tao Group Hospitality, a restaurant and nightlife conglomerate with nightclubs in major resorts and tourist hotspots such as The Venetian in Las Vegas.
The younger Scheinberg, who is also a real estate investor, resides in the Isle of Man where he is the richest person on the island with a net worth over $5 billion. His father, Isai, a computer programmer, is credited with not only building PokerStars but helping grow the game of poker during the 2000s.
Daniel Negreanu, a PokerStars ambassador during the Scheinberg era, has long pushed for the Poker Hall of Fame to induct Isai. Scheinberg, one of eight finalists in 2026, didn't make it in, however. Jason Koon, a current PokerStars ambassador, was the lone inductee.
