PokerStars Spooky Season

The $1 million guaranteed Sunday Million Spooky Season Finale is a little over a week away, a $109 progressive knockout event that brings the curtain down on the PokerStars Spooky Season. What better way to prepare for this prestigious tournament than by getting involved in the pair of Spooky Sunday Special events running on November 1?

The start time is 6:05 p.m. GMT for both the $5.50 Mini Spooky Special and the $75 Spooky Sunday Special. These tournaments carry $25,000 and $250,000 guarantees on their respective prize pools, and PokerStars Ambassador Kenny "SpaceyFCB" Hallaert is hosting both.

Both events have a progressive knockout format, meaning you can win plenty of money even if you don't advance to the payout places. Hallaert is playing with a special bounty on his head. Eliminate the talented Belgian from either the $5.50 or $75 buy-in tournaments, and PokerStars will place a $109 Sunday Million Spooky Season Finale ticket in your account, giving you a shot at a $1 million guaranteed prize pool on November 8.

$25,000 Guaranteed For Only $5.50 in the Mini Spooky Sunday Special

The $5.50 Mini Spooky Sunday Special is great value for low-stakes players because it has a $25,000 guaranteed prize pool. Cards are in the air from 6:05 p.m. GMT on November 1, with all entrants starting their quest for glory armed with 25,000 chips.

Late registration is available for 2.5 hours, with up to five re-entries permitted during that time. Blinds start at 100/200/25a, increasing every 10 minutes throughout.

Each elimination of an opponent earns you at least $1.25, but those bounty payments will soar during the latter stages of the tournament, with the final few progressive bounties likely to be worth more than some of the final table prizes. Don't forget, if you eliminate "SpaceyFCB" you'll also receive a $109 Spooky Season Finale ticket.

Play For a Share of $250,000 in the $75 Spooky Sunday Special

The $75 Spooky Sunday Special also shuffles up and deals at 6:05 p.m. GMT on November 1. The higher-buy-in edition comes with a different starting stack, structure, and late registration period than its $5.50 buy-in little brother.

Players sit down with a 50,000 starting stack, with Level 1 blinds being 125/250/30a. Those blinds increase every 15 minutes for the first 15 levels, before shortening to 12 minutes thereafter.

There is a four-hour late-registration period during which you can fire up to five bullets if needed.

Each bounty you collect will be worth at least $12.50, unless that bounty belonged to "SpaceyFCB." In which case, you'll win whatever he had on his head plus a $109 Spooky Season Finale ticket.

Unlike the $5.50 tournament, this $75 buy-in affair has satellites. Their buy-ins range from $1.10 to $16.50. A $1.10 satellite at 3:30 p.m. GMT and another at 5:18 p.m. GMT on November 1 come with a 10-seat guarantee.

Perhaps your best chance of securing a $75 ticket will be in the $5.50 satellite that starts at 4:05 p.m. GMT on November 1, as it comes with a 75-seat guarantee.

$1 Million Guaranteed Sunday Million Season Finale on November 8

Spooky Season Sunday Million

The PokerStars Spooky Season is marching toward a thrilling finale, with a $109 PKO edition of the Sunday Million bringing the curtain down on proceedings. Day 1 starts at 6:05 p.m. GMT on November 8, with Day 2 scheduled to begin at the same time on November 9.

Entrants enter the mix with a 50,000 starting stack and play to blinds starting at 125/250/30a. The first 15 levels last 15 minutes, Levels 16-37 span 12 minutes before reverting back to 15 minutes until a champion is crowned.

Up to five re-entries are permitted during the first four hours of Day 1, so it makes sense to try and win yourself a few buy-ins via the plentiful satellites running around the clock.

Four such satellites guarantee at least 100 seats at $109 each. All four cost $11 to enter. They begin at 6:05 p.m. and 8:05 p.m. GMT on November 7, and at 3:15 p.m. GMT on November 8. At 4:05 p.m. GMT on November 8, the $11 satellite has a cool 150 seats waiting to be won.
