The RunGood Poker Series returns to sunny Florida today as the RGPS Golden Expedition Jacksonville $1,200 Main Event begins at noon local time.
Day 1a is the first of three starting flights as players descend on bestbet Jacksonville to chase a share of the massive $300,000 guaranteed prize pool. Players will begin with a 30,000 starting stack, and levels will be 40 minutes throughout the day. Late registration is open until the start of Level 10, with unlimited reentries allowed during the registration period. There is a break after every three levels and a 60-minute dinner break at the end of Level 9.
bestbet has also introduced an incentive for players to enter Day 1a. Any player seated at the start of the day will receive $100 tournament bucks, and an additional $500 if they make it through to Day 2, regardless of how many bullets they fired over the day.
There are two more starting flights taking place over the weekend. Day 1b is tomorrow at noon, while Day 1c is Saturday, October 31, also at noon. Each flight plays down to the last 12.5 percent of the field, and all surviving players then return for Day 2 on Sunday, November 1, at noon to play down to a champion.

RunGood last came here to Jacksonville in May 2025, when noted local cash game grinder George Wolfe beat out a field of 465 entries to win $92,817. The husband and wife team of Kelly and Kelley Slay, WPT champion Mike Vela, Katerina Lukina, Heather Alcorn, Bryan Paris, and Papa Karn were also among the players to make the money last year.
It’s already been a busy week here at bestbet Jacksonville. The $400 PokerNews PowerStack event wrapped up a few days ago, with Derek Kerns outlasting a huge field of 859 entries to earn $59,255. If the turnout for that event is any indication, the poker room is sure to be packed over the coming days for the Main Event.
