David Salituro

PokerNews Live Reporter David Salituro is based on Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He first joined PokerNews for the 2021 World Series of Poker, and has had the chance to attend numerous
WSOP, EPT festivals, and other events around the world while interviewing countless notable players such as Daniel Negreanu, Phil Ivey, and Michael Mizrachi. In 2025, David was nominated for Best Live Reporter at the Global Poker Awards.

David graduated with an honours bachelor’s degree in History from the University of Toronto, and a journalism degree from Sheridan College in Oakville, Ontario. He first became interested
in poker after watching Joe Hachem win the 2005 WSOP Main Event on television, and started out playing heads-up matches with his brother on their living room couch. He’s earned two EPT spade trophies for winning the media event in Paris and Barcelona, both in 2024. Prior to joining PokerNews, David was a baseball and golf journalist.
