The dinner break is over and registration has officially closed for Day 1a of the MSPT Venetian $1,100 Main Event as Level 10 is underway. In total, 485 entries were logged for the first of two starting flights, more than doubling the guaranteed prize pool with another full day tomorrow to add to the tally.

Coming back from break, 206 players remain with six full levels left in the night unless the field reaches 11% (53 players) before that time.

Rogowski Empties the Clip

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

"Polish" Andy Rogowski was under the gun and opened to 2,600. Action folded to the player on the button and he called. Kami Hudson also called, defending her big blind.

The dealer fanned a flop of {3-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{j-Hearts} and Hudson checked. Rogowski made a continuation-bet of 2,500 and the player on the button called. Hudson folded, taking action heads up to the turn {a-Clubs}. Rogowski fired again, this time for 4,000, and the player on the button called once more.

The river fell {8-Spades} and Rogowski emptied the clip, firing a third barrel for 5,500. The player on the button thought for about 30 seconds and then let his hand go, earning Rogowski the pot.

Lutes Makes a Big Hand

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

A single-raised pot involving Kyna England in the cutoff and Jeffrey Lutes in the big blind brought about a flop of {3-Spades}{3-Hearts}{a-Clubs}. Lutes led out with a bet of 3,000 and England called to bring the turn {3-Clubs}, where Luton again bet 4,000 and England called once more.

The river came {2-Diamonds} and Lutes put out a bet of 16,000, sending England into the tank for over a minute. She eventually found a call.

Lutes tabled {3-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} for quads and England nodded as if she knew as she sent her cards to the muck.

Ioli Doubles Through Lindsay

Level 11 : 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Preflop action saw Katie Lindsay open in the hijack and receive a call from Mark Ioli, who defended his big blind. The flop came {8-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{q-Hearts} and Ioli checked to Lindsay, who made a continuation-bet of 9,000, nearly the size of the pot. Ioli check-jammed for 32,000 and Lindsay reluctantly dropped in chips to call.

Mark Ioli: {q-Spades}{9-Diamonds}
Katie Lindsay: {j-Spades}{j-Hearts}

Lindsay was unable to hit her six outer as the turn {a-Hearts} and river {7-Clubs} completed the runout to earn Ioli the double.

"Nice hand," said Lindsay as the pot was sent to Ioli, who responded with a kind thanks.

Yokoyama Squeezes Out the Big Stacks

Level 11 : 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Praise Ogwo opened the action with a raise to 10,000 in middle position and Rick Lee called on the button. David Yokoyama was in the big blind and announced he was all in.

Ogwo thought for about a minute and eventually let his hand go, putting action onto Lee. Three minutes later, Yokoyama was rewarded for his re-jam as Lee also folded, earning Yokoyama the pot preflop.
