Wazwaz Back In Action

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Rob Wazwaz
Rob Wazwaz

Rob Wazwaz was in the process of being paid out for a double with his hand of {k-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} displayed on a board of {7-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{4-Clubs}, having hit a straight on the river to stay alive versus a hand that had already been mucked.

While Wazwaz was being paid, there was also discussion of a hand that had just happened between Timothy Gilliam and Mark Liedtke, where both players got all in before the flop with ace-king. When the runout completed, Liedtke found four to a flush of his preferred suit on board and earned a double through Gilliam in improbable fashion.

Marquez Davis
Marquez Davis

Marquez Davis had opened in the hijack and saw the small blind re-jam. The big blind came over the top, also shoving, and Davis called both players.

Small Blind: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}
Big Blind: {q-Clubs}{q-Hearts}
Marquez Davis: {k-Clubs}{k-Spades}

A flop of {3-Clubs}{3-Spades}{3-Hearts} gave Davis another card to sweat but the turn {2-Clubs} and river {4-Hearts} complied and he scored the double knockout, bringing his stack over 200,000.

Stone Flops Top Top

Level 11 : 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

A player limped in early position and action folded around to the player on the button, who raised to 5,500. Steve Stone was in the small blind and three-bet to 13,500. The limper confirmed the amount and then placed chips to call onto the felt, prompting a fold from the player on the button to take postflop action heads up.

The flop came {a-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} and Stone made a bet of 8,000. His opponent folded and he showed {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts} for top pair, top kicker before receiving the pot to take his stack up to 139,000.
