Dakota O'Malley Sniffs Out Schocks Bluff

Level 4 : 200/400, 400 ante
Dakota O'Malley
Dakota O'Malley

Action folded to Mitch Schock who raised to 900 from the hijack and Dakota O'Malley defended his big blind to see a {a-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{3-Hearts} flop.

O'Malley check-called the 1,300 continuation bet from Schock and then did the same for 4,400 after the {2-Spades} fell on the turn.

After the {a-Spades} completed the board on the river, O'Malley check-called once again, this time for 9,000.

Schock showed {10-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} for air while O'Malley rolled over {5-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} to win the pot with the wheel.

Level 4 : 200/400, 400 ante
Rich Kindel
Rich Kindel

A player from early position raised to 1,100 and found three callers before Rich Kindel three-bet to 4,100 on the button. All players folded except the hijack player, bringing the action heads-up to the {4-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{4-Clubs} flop.

Action was checked to Kindel who continued for 14,000 and the price was too steep for his opponent as they quickly mucked their hand.

Aaron Fruen opened for 1,300 and found three callers bringing about the {2-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}{5-Spades} flop. Mark Fink checked from the small blind bringing action back to Fruen who continued for 2,500 and only Umut Ozturk called from the cutoff.

The {8-Hearts} turn saw Fruen toss out another 2,500 and then 5,000 after the {10-Clubs} completed the board on the river. Ozturk called both bets and then quickly mucked his hand after Fruen rolled over {a-Spades}{q-Clubs}.

Deadwood, South Dakota is rich with history and the characters in that history, such as “Wild” Bill Hickok, Calamity Jane, Preacher Smith, and Seth Bullock, have become legends of yore. The Franklin Hotel is no stranger to legends that have passed through its halls since it opened in 1903, including Babe Ruth, John Wayne, Teddy Roosevelt, Kevin Costner, and William Howard Taft.

With the 2021 MSPT South Dakota State Poker Championship happening right here at the Silverado Franklin Casino, poker legends will be made this weekend. Legendary gamblers and poker players deserve a legendary meal, and fittingly enough, Legends Steakhouse, conveniently located in the lower level of the Franklin Hotel, offers players delectable breakfast and dinner options at reasonable prices.

For breakfast, Legends Steakhouse offers an array of omelets and benedicts, classic fare like steak and eggs, breakfast burritos and biscuits and gravy, and fun, exciting options like red velvet waffles and Rumchata french toast. Dinner gives diners the complete steakhouse experience, with intriguing appetizers such as escargot, duck wings, and lobster bisque. Entrees include roasted chicken breast with apple walnut chutney, shrimp crepes with white wine creme sauce, and lobster tail with drawn butter. But the main course has to be the steaks; and with a 21-day dry aged in-house cut of your favorite filets, ribeyes, strips and sirloins, to name a few, the steak lover will not be disappointed by the selection and flavor of their favorite cut of beef.

Ben Keeline Wins With a Baby Ace

Level 6 : 300/600, 600 ante
Ben Keeline
Ben Keeline

Action folded around to Ben Keeline who min-raised to 1,200 from middle position and found three callers which included Ryan Thorson from the hijack.

The {j-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{a-Spades} flop was checked to Thorson who fired out 2,000 and only Keeline called to see the {q-Hearts} fall on the turn. Both players checked and then did the same after the {2-Clubs} completed the board on the river.

Thorson rolled over {k-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} for a pair of jacks but it wasn't any good as Keeline held {a-Hearts}{4-Clubs} to win the pot with a pair of aces.
