Ben Wiora opened to 45,000 in middle position before Keith Lauder three-bet all in from late position to 235,000. Action folded back to Wiora who made the call.

Lauder needed help to stay alive, but the offered no such help and Wiora stacked more while Lauder was left with nothing.
Action picked up after Kitkat Klassen had opened and Chad Himmelspach moved all in. Klassen made the call and the two were off to a runout. Klassen had Himmelspach slightly covered, but the pot was crucial to both of them.

The flop looked good for Himmelspach on the . The turn changed that, though, when the hit. The river gave Klassen two pair to take down the pot and eliminate Himmelspach.
After an early-position open to 40,000, Mikiyo Aoki made the call on the button. Kevin Nguyen moved all in from the small blind for 115,000. The early-position player folded, but Aoki made the call.

Aoki outflopped Nguyen when the came out. Nguyen couldn't catch up on the turn and river and was eliminated.
Mikiyo Aoki opened to 55,000 from under the gun. Action folded to Chris Moen on the button who moved all in for 315,000.
"How much is it? asked Elizabeth Ethridge in the small blind. "I call," she said.

Moen ran into number one and needed lots of help. The flop came out , not offering much. The turn was the dangerous , though, bringing in another backdoor flush possibility that Ethridge knew too well from a recent hand. The river was a blank, though, and Ethridge won the pot that sent Moen home.
Action began on the flop in a heads-up pot between Justin Welter in the big blind and Mo Nuwwarah on the button. The board showed and there was about 140,000 in the middle.
Welter checked to Nuwwarah who bet 50,000 in position. Welter made the call.
The turn brought a and Welter check-called again, this time a bet of 150,000 from Nuwwarah.
The river was the , but Welter wouldn't check the final street. He led for 200,000. Nuwwarah thought for about 45 seconds before letting his cards go.
The Mid-States Poker Tour (MSPT) will return to one of its top destinations September 3-5 — the Venetian in fabulous Las Vegas, Nevada — for a $500,000 guaranteed no-limit hold'em Main Event.
Each player will pay $1,100 to enter the two-day poker tournament, with Day 1a scheduled for 11:10 a.m. local time on September 3, and then Day 1b at the same time the following day. All players will then return to the luxurious Las Vegas Strip mega resort on September 5 to play it down to a winner.
The last time we saw the MSPT at the Venetian, Argentina's Federico Roberto scooped the $1,100 buy-in Main Event for $294,327, beating out a field of 2,154 players at the same time the 2022 World Series of Poker took place.

PokerNews was at the Venetian live reporting during the massive event this past summer and will be once again come September for what figures to be another action-packed event.
The Main Event is the biggest tournament among Venetian's upcoming fall Deepstack series, which features $3.8 million in guaranteed money awarded between August 29 and October 2. Play inside the popular card room kicks off with a $400 Monster Stack No-Limit Hold'em, a $15,000 guaranteed tournament.
As for the MSPT Venetian Main Event, each player will start with a stack of 25,000 chips and play 40-minute blind levels. The winner will take home a six-figure payday along with an MSPT trophy.
Taking a Look at the 2022 MSPT Schedule
The Mid-States Poker Tour has seven scheduled Main Events around the United States, including the Las Vegas strop, before the end of the year. Up first is the Grand Falls Casino (Sioux Falls, South Dakota) $200,000 guaranteed tournament from August 19-21, and then the trip to Venetian.
Following the stop at the Venetian, the MSPT will head to San Diego, California for the United States Poker Championship at Sycuan Casino (September 15-25) with $570,000 up for grabs.
Following the conclusion of the aforementioned tournaments, the MSPT will head to Firekeepers Casino in Battle Creek, Michigan for the $1,000,000 guaranteed Michigan State Poker Championship October 13-16.
The remaining 2022 MSPT schedule includes Silverado Casino in Deadwood, South Dakota (October 21-23), Riverside Casino in Riverside, Iowa (October 27-30), and Running Aces Casino in Columbus, Minnesota (December 1-11).
Loren Burbach moved all in from under the gun for 200,000. Action folded to Elizabeth Ethridge who made the call in the hijack.
Mikiyo Aoki was on the button and calmly slid in a full stack worth 500,000.

Aoki was recently telling the table how she has yet to get aces this tournament. She got them at a perfect time, the eliminated Burbach and gave Aoki the pot.
Near the same time, John Reading was seen heading toward the payout desk after being eliminated as well.
