Veith Catches Liss on the River

Level 4 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

As the following hand was starting, the table proclaimed Greg Liss, "Today's Dan," referencing Dan Bekavac's amazing day yesterday. Liss had already built a stack of around 100,000.

Edward Veith opened to 1,400 and found three callers, including Greg Liss in the cutoff.

The flop came out monotone with the {7-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{3-Clubs}. Veith continued for 5,000, Liss made the call, while the other two players got out of the way.

The turn was the {2-Diamonds} and both players checked.

When the {3-Hearts} hit the river, Veith checked again. Veith promptly threw out 15,000.

"If you got it, you got it," said Veith as he made the call.

"I don't," replied Veith.

Veith showed {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} for the over pair and the winner.

"He caught me," said Liss. He still has a very healthy stack, but a lot of work to do to match the 1,183,000 that Bekavac bagged yesterday.

Kruk Make Quads, Sinks a Boat

Level 5 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante
Ron Kruk
Ron Kruk

Ron Kruk and Gary Herstein traded a couple raises preflop before getting all their chips in. Kruk was the short stack and looking to get back to a healthy stack.

Ron Kruk: {j-Spades}{j-Clubs}
Gary Herstein: {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}

In rough shape, things looked even bleaker for Kruk on the {6-Hearts}{k-Spades}{a-Spades} flop, Kruk needed running cards to say alive. The {j-Diamonds} gave Kruk one out to hit on the final card. The table exploded when the {j-Hearts} hit the river. Kruk made runner-runner quads to run down the cowboys and scoop the pot for the double.

Two Pair Good for Pasker

Level 5 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

Action started on the river in a three-way hand. The pot held about 25,000 and the board read {j-Hearts}{a-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{8-Spades}.

The player under the gun bet 10,000 into his two opponents. Austin Pasker made the call in middle position and action folded to the player in the cutoff. After some thought, he also made the call.

Under the gun showed {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}, and seemed surprised to see Pasker show {a-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} for two pair and the winner to take down the pot.

Perkins On a Heater, Wins Three in a Row

Level 5 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

Three players saw a flop of {6-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} in a three-bet pot. Randy Perkins saw his opponent move all in for about 16,000 on the flop and both him and his opponent made the call.

On the {5-Clubs} turn, Perkins moved all of his chips in the middle as well, about 22,000. His opponent called and all three hands were turned over.

Flop all-in player: {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}
Turn all-in player: {q-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}
Randy Perkins: {7-Clubs}{7-Hearts}

Perkins had one opponent drawing dead and the other drawing to two outs. The {k-Spades} river changed nothing and Perkins locked up the massive pot.

*****

The next hand, Perkins opened to 1,600 on early position. The player on his left three-bet to 5,100. A player in the blinds cold-called. Back on Perkins, he four-bet to 31,600. The other two players let their cards go.

*****

The next hand, Perkins saw a player limp under the gun before he three-bet to 2,500. The entire table folded and got out of his way. He showed {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds} to show what he was continuing his heater with.

Long Bets Each Street to Beat Beetz

Level 6 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

Brad Beetz opened from early position before getting three-bet by Richard Long to 4,500 on his left. Action folded back to Beetz who made the call.

The flop was {3-Spades}{5-Spades}{6-Clubs}. Beetz checked to Long who fired 6,500, and Beetz made the call.

Long ramped up the pressure on the {q-Diamonds} turn by betting 15,000. Beetz elected to let it go and fight for another pot.
