Gonia Runs Kings into Aces, Doubles Fowler

Level 3 : 200/200, 300 ante
David Gonia
David Gonia

Blake Anderson opened under the gun and David Gonia three-bet from the next seat over before Kevin Fowler four-bet to 5,000 from the button.

After the blinds folded, Anderson followed suit while Gonia five-bet to 10,000 putting Fowler all in. Fowler snapped-off his stack and the two players tabled their hands.

Kevin Fowler: {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}
David Gonia: {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}

Gonia picked-up cowboys at the wrong time and the {5-Hearts}{3-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{8-Spades} runout secured Fowler his double-up.

Barnum Handed Early Cooler from Van Syckle

Level 2 : 100/200, 200 ante
Bob Van Syckle
Bob Van Syckle

Bob Van Syckle limped-in from under the gun only to have Justin Barnum fire out a 700 raise directly to his left.

Two players called along with Van Syckle, bringing action three-ways to a {8-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{7-Hearts} flop.

Action was checked to Barnum who continued for 1,500 and found one caller before Van Syckle check-raised to 5,000. Barnum three-bet jammed for 18,300 and action folded back to Van Syckle who called off his 17,300 stack.

Justin Barnum: {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}
Bob Van Syckle: {7-Spades}{7-Diamonds}

Barnum was looking good after both players flopped a set, but the dealer dropped the {7-Clubs} on the turn, improving Van Syckle to quads.

Barnum was unable to find the case jack on the river as the {4-Hearts} completed the board and Van Syckle collected the early double.
