MSPT Season 12 Final Standings - Player of the Year

Level 5 : 300/500, 500 ante
Kyna England
Kyna England

Kyna England took down the Season 12 Player of the Year title after winning the MSPT Winter Poker Classic at Canterbury Park in December. She held off a late charge by Taylor Howard in the finale event of the year to become the first female Player of the Year in MSPT history.

Since its inception in 2009, the MSPT has done a great job keeping track of player stats. As a result, they have one of the best player databases in the industry.

On their "Leaderboards" page, the MSPT tracks such things as Career Earnings, Main Event Cashes, Main Event Final Tables, Main Event Titles, Total Cashes, Most Cashes/Final Tables in a Season, Most Final Tables All-Time, and much more.

Here's a look at the final standings in the Season 12 points race.

Skinner Scores with Fours

Level 5 : 300/500, 500 ante

Christopher Skinner is back in the tournament after missing on his first bullet. He raised 1,500 from under the gun and a player in middle position called while David Para came along from the big blind.

The flop was {k-Hearts}{j-Spades}{10-Diamonds} and all three players checked.

The turn was {4-Spades}. Para checked and Skinner bet 1,500. The player in middle position called and Para threw his hand into the muck. The river was {3-Diamonds}.

Skinner checked and the player in middle position fired 6,000. Skinner called quickly and turned over {4-Clubs}{4-Hearts} for a set of fours. His opponent tossed the losing hand in the muck while he dragged a big pot to get his second bullet moving in the right direction.
