Day 1b Of $1,100 Main Event No-Limit Hold’em Mid-States Poker Tour At JACK Casino In Cleveland Ohio Begins at 12 PM

The $1,100 Main Event No-Limit Hold’em is one of four trophy events this week that also include the $400 Pot-Limit Omaha, $135 Nightly No-Limit Hold’em, and $360 Last Chance No-Limit Hold’em. Unlike those however, the main event boasts an impressive $500,000 guarantee on the prize pool, nearly double the $300,000 when the tour came in January of 2020.

Last night saw James Mendelhall bag the chip lead with 392,000 chips with William “Bill” Topico and Michael Pempin nipping at his heels with 389,000 and 380,000 respectively. 22 players made it last night out of the 186 entrants and the flight today expects more entrants. Players who were unable to bag last night, but are sure to fire this flight include Daniel Sepiol, Michael Berk, Nicholas Rigby and Anthony Carbone.

Players will start out with 25,000 chips with the starting level of 100/100 and a big blind ante of 100. Levels will escalate every 40-minutes with a ten minute break after every three levels, with a 40-minute dinner break after level 9. After which, the players will have three more levels of play and then late registration will close.

Stay tuned to PokerNews.com for all of the updates on the MSPT $1,100 main event.

Harsar Misses The Flush, Still Improves

Level 1 : 100/100, 100 ante

Scott Hosbach raised to 500 on the button and was called by Nicholas Harsar in the small blind and a player in the big blind.

The flop came out {a-Spades}{2-Spades}{k-Diamonds} which saw action check over to Hosbach who continued for 800 which Harsar alone called.

The turn came out {k-Hearts} and Hosbach bet once more when checked to, this time to the tune of 1,800 which Harsar responded to with a raise to 4,500. Hosbach called and the two took a river.

The river of {9-Clubs} saw Harsar bet 6,000 and Hosbach snap-called. Harsar turned over {k-Spades}{8-Spades} for three kings with a missed flush draw and it was good for the pot.
