Day 1 Chip Leaders Collide

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Pedro Prado
Pedro Prado

Day 1b chip leader Pedro Prado just took down the biggest pot of the $360 Regional so far, doubling through Day 1c and overall tournament chip leader Alex Madriaga.

The hand began with Madriaga limping from early position, getting calls from Ronnie Press on the button and Prado on the big blind blind.

All three players checked the {k-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} flop.

Prado bet 20,000 on the {3-Spades} turn, Madriaga raised to 45,000, Press went all-in for 90,000, Prado re-shoved for 469,000, and Madriaga called.

Ronnie Press: {a-Hearts}{3-Hearts}
Pedro Prado: {4-Hearts}{2-Clubs}
Alex Madriaga: {k-Clubs}{5-Clubs}

Prado's turned straight left Prado looking for full house outs, but none came as the {q-Diamonds} fell on the river. Prado now holds the chip lead, with just under one million chips.

Just before the three-table redraw, two of the biggest stacks in the field got into a pot that resulted in a new chip leader.

Pedro Prado opened to 30,000 from early position, Matt Bradford called on the immediate left, and Tai Reyes Purpero called in the small blind.

The flop came {10-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{7-Hearts}, action checked to Prado, and Prado bet 80,000. Only Bradford called.

Prado bet 180,000 on the {a-Diamonds} turn, and Bradford called again.

Prado went all-in for 450,000 on the {10-Diamonds} river, and Bradford snap-called. Prado turned over {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts}, but it was no good against Bradford's {7-Clubs}{7-Spades}.

Bradford now has nearly 2 million chips, and the tournament will now redraw for the final three tables.
