Tran Involved in the Action

Level 20 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Tu Tran opened to 38,000 first to act and that won the blinds and antes without resistance.

John Rosario then raised to 32,000 and Alex Yazbeck came along from the small blind. On the {j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} flop, Yazbeck led and Rosario quickly folded.

Tran limped the small blind and Qiang Fu checked his option in the big blind. On the {a-Spades}{6-Spades}{3-Hearts} flop both players checked and headed to the {7-Diamonds} turn. Tran made it 22,000 to go and Fu quickly tossed in a single T-25,000 for the call. On the {8-Diamonds} river, Tran made it 85,000 to go and Fu released his cards into the muck.

One hand later, Tran opened to 35,000 on the button and Fu three-bet to 100,000 out of the small blind. Tran gave it some consideration, but no call followed.

One hand after his double up, Nauvneel Kashyap raised to 35,000 in the hijack and Tu Tran three-bet to 135,000 in the big blind. Kashyap jammed for 672,000 and Tran snap-called.

Nauvneel Kashyap: {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}
Tu Tran: {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}

The {10-Spades}{5-Hearts}{4-Clubs} flop provided no help, while the {j-Hearts} on the turn gave Kashyap an additional gutshot straight draw. A blank {4-Hearts} on the river was not what he was looking for and Kashyap was eliminated in 7th place for A$9,964.

John Rosario

Michael Oscuro shoved from the small blind for 370,000 and John Rosario called in the big blind for fewer chips.

John Rosario: {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}
Michael Oscuro: {a-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}

The turn brought them the {9-Diamonds} which now gave Rosario the gutshot to a straight while still being ahead.

The river completed the board with the {2-Spades} to give Oscuro the wheel indeed to eliminate Rosario in 6th place for A$13,702.

Adrian Salter Eliminated in 5th Place (A$19,057)

Level 20 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Adrian Salter

Tu Tran raised first to act and Adrian Salter called in the big blind. On the {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}{7-Spades} flop, Salter check-raised from 20,000 to 70,000 and Tran called. The {2-Hearts} fell on the turn and Salter checked once more. Tran now bet 90,000 and Salter jammed for around 600,000 to receive an instant call by Tran.

Adrian Salter: {a-Diamonds}{6-Spades}
Tu Tran: {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}

Salter was drawing dead with his top pair as Tran's rail celebrated with the words "he always has it." The meaningless {j-Hearts} river was a formality and Salter headed to the payout desk to collect A$19,057 for his efforts.
