Doodson Doubles Through Zhang

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Michael Doodson shoved from the cutoff for 71,000 and was called by Andrew Zhang in the big blind.

Michael Doodson: {q-Spades}{j-Hearts}
Andrew Zhang: {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}

The flop came {a-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{k-Clubs} for Doodson to hit the Broadway but a jack on the turn and the river would mean that they would split the pot.

The turn brought them the {4-Spades} and the river completed the board with the {7-Diamonds} for Doodson to secure the double-up.

Win Meng Tan

Over on the feature table the flop showed {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{8-Diamonds} and John Rosario bet 51,000. Win Tan moved all in for 198,000 in total and Rosario made the call.

Win Tan: {a-Spades}{3-Hearts}
John Rosario: {a-Clubs}{j-Hearts}

The kicker played on the {10-Diamonds} turn and {6-Clubs} river run out and that sent Tan to the rail in 15th place.

Miller Eliminated by Tran

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Andrew Miller
Andrew Miller

Andrew Miller was sitting on the button and Tu Tran in the small blind. Miller got up from his chair and his hole cards were already mucked while Tran had {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs} in front of him. The board read {8-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{9-Hearts} for Tran to claim the elimination with the higher pocket pair as Miller apparently held {10-}{10-}.

The field has now been reduced to 12 players and the third table has been broken up to balance the other two tables up.

Miray Badaoui Eliminated in 12th Place (A$5,450)

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Miray Badaoui
Miray Badaoui

Over on the feature table, a three-way flop of {a-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{2-Clubs} brought the all in on Miray Badaoui for 165,000 in the big blind and he was called by John Rosario in the cutoff.

Miray Badaoui: {5-Clubs}{4-Clubs}
John Rosario: {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}

Rosario was ahead with his top pair, but Badaoui had a ton of outs with the gutshot straight flush draw. The {a-Clubs} turn improved Badaoui to a flush, however, the {2-Diamonds} river paired the board a second time to give Rosario a full house.

Badaoui has been eliminated in 12th place and takes home A$5,450 for his efforts.

Two for Fu

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Qiang Fu
Qiang Fu

Nauvneel Kashyap raised to 18,000 from the cutoff and was called by Qiang Fu on the button. The flop came {a-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}, Fu check-called the 22,000 continuation-bet of Kashyap. They both checked through the {10-Clubs} on the turn to the {8-Hearts} on the river for Kashyap to fold to the 50,000 bet of Fu.

The hand after, Fu completed his small blind and Alex Yazbeck opted to raise to 21,000 in the big blind which Fu called. They both checked through the {7-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{7-Clubs} flop to the {4-Diamonds} on the turn. Fu bet 25,000 and Yazbeck called. The river completed the board with the {2-Clubs}, Fu now bet 50,000 which Yazbeck snap-called. Fu tabled {a-Diamonds}{10-Spades} for the flopped two pair with the ten-kicker. Yazbeck flipped over {a-Hearts}{5-Clubs} for the same two pair but with the lower kicker.
