The Chips are Flying

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Mustapha Kanit doubled through Dan Colman with king-queen for top pair and a straight draw, while Colman had {9-}{8-} for the bottom end of the straight. Kanit got there and that left Colman very short.

Colman then moved all in for 22,000 and Kanit said "good luck bro", before folding out of the small blind. Timofey Kuznetsov called in the big blind after some consideration.

Dan Colman: {7-Spades}{7-Diamonds}
Timofey Kuznetsov: {J-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}

The board came {A-Spades}{10-Spades}{4-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} and Colman doubled. "I saved you, I folded an ace," Kanit added before then saying "come on, one more double and nothing happened. You can double through Erik (Seidel)."

Over on the other table, Rainer Kempe called a bet of 25,000 by Richard Yong on an ace-high board with three spades and was good when just showing {K-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}. "You called with just king-high?" Kanit asked when walking over. Kempe replied with a simple ""i thought I had spades."

Colman Doubles Through Kanit

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Mustapha Kanit raised from under the gun and Dan Colman shoved from the small blind. Mikita Badziakouski took his time before folding in the big blind, and Kanit called.

Dan Colman: {10-Clubs}{10-Spades}
Mustapha Kanit: {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}

The board came {Q-Spades}{6-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} and Colman doubled for 39,000 with a full house.

"Would you have folded if I call?" Badziakouski asked Kanit and then mentioned that he had ace-jack.

"Now we are even," Kanit joked over to Colman.

Kanit Doubles Through Kuznetsov; Yong Shoves

Level 15 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Mustapha Kanit got into a raising war with table neighbor Timofey Kuznetsov in a battle of the blinds and four-bet to 80,000, leaving himself only 30,000 behind. Kuznetsov called and the duo headed to a flop of {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}. Kanit check-called all in and was at risk.

Mustapha Kanit: {A-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}
Timofey Kuznetsov: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}

The {K-Clubs} turn and {5-Spades} river were blanks and Kanit scored a double, then immediately joked "now I am coming for you Erik (Seidel)".

Over on the other table, Yu Liang limped the cutoff and Sergio Aido called in the small blind. Richard Yong shoved out of the big blind for around 180,000 and forced two folds.

Liang Doubles; Aldemir Busts

Level 15 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
Koray Aldemir
Koray Aldemir

Hand 1

In a battle of the blinds, Rainer Kempe checked the {K-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{6-Spades} turn and called a bet of Yu Liang in the big blind for 25,000. The {4-Clubs} river completed the board and Kempe checked again. Liang moved all in and Kempe asked for a count, then called when it was deemed to be for 66,500.

Liang turned over his {Q-Clubs}{j-Clubs} for second pair, and Kempe mucked to let the Chinese double.

Hand 2

Liang wasn't even done stacking yet when Kempe raised to 11,000 from the button. Liang folded, and Koray Aldemir then shoved for around 50,000 from the big blind. Kempe quickly called and Aldemir was the player at risk with the worse kicker.

Koray Aldemir: {A-Hearts}{9-Spades}
Rainer Kempe: {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}

Both players paired their kicker on the {K-Spades}{10-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} flop, and the {A-Clubs} turn and {4-Hearts} river changed nothing to send Aldemir to the rail.

Kuznetsov Cools Down

Level 15 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

The stack of Mustapha Kanit has taken a slight hit and same applies for Timofey Kuznetsov as well.

After Mikita Badziakouski gave up a pot against Dan Colman over on table two, he faced the raise to 11,000 by Kuznetsov. Badziakouski three-bet to 30,000 in the big blind and that shut down all further action.

Kuznetsov was sent back into the middle of the pack, after heavily dominating for most of Day 1 and the early stages of today.

Colman Doubles Through Kanit - Part II

Level 15 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Mustapha Kanit raised to 11,000 and the action folded to Dan Colman in the big blind. The American moved all in and Kanit quickly called to put his opponent at risk for the second time in the past hour.

Dan Colman: {A-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}
Mustapha Kanit: {A-Hearts}{K-Clubs}

After a board of {J-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}, Colman completed a runner-runner straight to double for 114,000, taking more than half of Kanit's stack.

Kempe Busts Liang in Massive Pot

Level 15 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
Yu Liang
Yu Liang

The hand that was still going several minutes into the break saw Rainer Kempe limp the small blind, and Yu Liang raised to 12,000, Kempe called. Both players checked the {8-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} flop, Kempe then bet the {7-Clubs} turn for 13,500. Liang called and the duo headed to the {K-Clubs} river.

Kempe checked and Liang bet 50,000 with around 150,000 behind. Kempe check-raised to 270,000, enough to cover his opponent. Liang spent more than three minutes in the think tank before calling. Kempe flipped over {8-Clubs}{8-Hearts} for a set of eights and Liang sent his cards into the muck.

The tournament will continue hand-for-hand when everyone comes back from the break.
