Phua's Bad Feeling Proves to Be Wrong

Level 2 : 0/0, 1,000 ante

Paul Phua and Gabe Patgorski tangled on a flop of {K-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{8-Clubs} with Patgorski sitting on the button. Phua checked, Patgorski bet 6,000 and Phua check-raised to 15,000. Patgorski wasn't done yet, he clicked back with a three-bet to 26,000, Phua raised again and they ended up all in.

Phua: {8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}
Patgorski: {K-Spades}{Q-Spades}

"I have a feeling that you will win," Phua said. "Sorry for the suckout," Patgorski replied.

But the bad scenario Phua was expecting didn't materialize as the {10-Hearts} turn and {7-Clubs} river held his hand ahead. Phua vaulted to 230,000 and Patgorski continued with 100,000 after firing a new bullet.

Yong Makes Quads to Double Through Koon

Level 2 : 0/0, 1,000 ante

Richard Yong called under the gun with {A-Clubs}{10-Clubs} and Peter Jetten called in the hijack. Jason Koon raised in the cutoff with {J-Spades}{10-Spades} to 12,000. Yong then moved all in for 102,000. Jetten folded Koon tanked for a while, then called.

The board ran out {A-Spades}{A-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{A-Spades}{9-Clubs} and that gave Yong quads, allowing him to double up to 210,000 while Koon was left with a measly 45,000 but 2 bullets left behind.

Koon Doubles Through Cao

Level 2 : 0/0, 1,000 ante

Rui Cao opened to 10,000 from the hijack with {J-Clubs}{J-Hearts} and Jason Koon was on the button with {A-Spades}{6-Spades}. He called.

The fop was {Q-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} and Cao led out for 7,000. Koon moved all in for 31,000. Cao called.

Koon was behind but could catch an ace, or a six to catch up. The board completed with the {K-Diamonds} and the {6-Hearts} and Koon would double with a full house to 84,000 leaving Cao with just over 200,000.

Patgorski Doubles Through Shanghai Wong

Level 2 : 0/0, 1,000 ante

We arrived when Wang "Shanghai Wong" Qiang had a bet of 16,000 out, sitting on the button. His left-hand Gabe Patgorski fired back with a shove of 104,000 and Qiang burned a timebank before making the call.

Patgorski: {A-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}
Qiang: {A-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}

The board of {9-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{7-Spades}{Q-Spades} confirmed Patgorski's double only few minutes before the first break of the day.

Qiang Runs into Set of Aces

Level 2 : 0/0, 1,000 ante

Mikita Badziakouski opened the action with a limp, Wang Qiang overlimped and Romain Arnaud called as well. Devan Tang, however, raised to 14,000 on the button and he got rid of Badziakouski while both Qiang and Arnaud stuck around for the flop.

Qiang threw in his last 16,000 when the {A-Spades}{Q-Spades}{8-Hearts} arrived and Tang snap-called with {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}. Qiang was drawing almost dead with {8-Clubs}{7-Clubs} and the {7-Diamonds} and {10-Diamonds} runout forced him to use a new bullet.

Ivey Unlucky to Chop

Level 3 : 0/0, 2,000 ante

Phil Ivey limped under the gun with {J-Diamonds}{10-Spades}, Marius Torbergesen joined with {Q-Diamonds}{J-Clubs} and Andrew Robl checked with {A-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}.

Ivey flopped the Broadway on {K-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}{Q-Hearts} and he check-raised to 25,000 over Robl's bet of 7,000. Robl called and the {J-Hearts} turn rescued him as he scrambled for a chop. The chips went in and the river didn't matter.

"Ay ay ay ay ay!"

Level 3 : 0/0, 2,000 ante

With around 100,000 in the middle, Mikita Badziakouski (hijack) and Wang Qiang (cutoff) made it to the river of the {8-Hearts}{9-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts} board. Badziakouski checked and Qiang moved all in for 55,000. Badziakouski had only 39,000 and didn't like the move.

"Ay ay ay ay ay!" he said and shuffled his remaining chips several times.

Then he made the call and "Shanghai Wong" showed him {A-Spades}{9-Clubs} for a full house.

"Ay ay ay ay ay!" Badziakouski said again and the table laughed. "Nice hand," Badziakouski said, adding: "Rebuy!"

Chan Gets There on the Turn

Level 3 : 0/0, 2,000 ante

On the flop of {7-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}, Chan Wai Leong and Xuan Tan ended up all in with Tan at risk for 122,000.

Tan: {J-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}
Chan: {K-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}

Unfortunately for Tan, Chan hit a straight right on the {A-Diamonds} turn. Tan could still win should he finish with a full house but he bricked his outs on the {Q-Hearts} and lost his bullet.
