Raise and Take It

Level 20 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante

A couple of "raise and take it" hands saw blinds and antes being stolen and David Abbas has already done so twice on the feature table to increase his stack. Besides this, the action of the shorter stacks has been very careful thus far.

Bolimowski versus Hefner

Level 20 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante

Picking up the action on the {6-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{A-Diamonds} flop, Julien Bolimowski out of the blinds and initial raiser David Hefner checked. Bolimowski then check-raised the {2-Diamonds} turn to 115,000 and received a rather quick call. The {J-Hearts} river was checked through and Hefner said he would have snap-called a bet as well.

Bolimowski was the first after the button and showed {7-Hearts}{10-Hearts} for a gutshot that didn't arrive, Hefner had the {8-Spades}{9-Diamonds}.

Fjaestad Folds

Level 20 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante

Philip Fjaestad opened to 56,000 and Niels Vesterlund moved all in for 257,000 in total from one seat over. The Swede tanked for at least three minutes and then mucked the {A-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}. Vesterlund showed him the {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Spades} and Fjaestad tapped the table with a "nice hand."

Zsombor Gall opened to 50,000 from under the gun and David Abbas three-bet to 132,000 out of the small blind before the action reached Jussi Heikela in the big blind. The Finn announced all in and enforced two folds.

One hand later, Philip Fjaestad moved all in for what looked like 185,000 and Heikela announced the call in the small blind.

Heikela: {Q-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}
Fjaestad: {K-Spades}{7-Spades}

The board ran out {10-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} and the Swede headed to the payout desk in order to collect his €4,220.

Hefner Versus Weiss

Level 20 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante

Fred Weiss opened to 48,000 from the cutoff and called the three-bet to 151,000 by David Hefner in the big blind. On the {10-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{A-Clubs} flop, Hefner fired 85,000 and was called before the {J-Hearts} turn was the Swede worth a second barrel of 116,000. Again Weiss called and then faced a 250,000 bet on the {4-Clubs} river.

The start-of-the-day chip leader eventually mucked.

In the next hand, Pierre Antona moved all in for 332,000 from under the gun and collected the blinds and antes.

Michael Lancri Eliminated in 15th Place (€4,930)

Level 21 : 15,000/30,000, 4,000 ante

Michael Lancri

It was a rather bad day at the office for Michael Lancri and he just open-shoved for what looked like 400,000 from the button. Karl Stark made the call out of the small blind and they tabled the cards:

Stark: {K-Clubs}{J-Hearts}
Lancri: {A-Hearts}{6-Hearts}

The Swede improved on the {K-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} flop and hit two pair on the {J-Spades} turn. Lancri was not drawing dead yet as any ace, six or ten would have secured the double up. Instead, it was the {8-Spades} that appeared on the river and Stark let out a "sorry about that" with a very typical Scandinavian accent.

Double Up for Sitbon

Level 21 : 15,000/30,000, 4,000 ante

The action folded around to Fred Weiss in the small blind on the secondary table and he moved all in to put Sitbon at risk. The latter made the call for his last 327,000 with the {A-Diamonds}{5-Spades} and doubled through Weiss' {10-Spades}{2-Diamonds} on a board of {9-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{9-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{6-Clubs}.

On the feature table, David Abbas three-bet shoved out of the small blind into an open from Julien Bolimowski and got through with it. Abbas then opened the button for 65,000 and called the shove of Vyacheslav Igin with {A-Hearts}{9-Clubs}. Igin had the {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds} and they split on a spectacular board of {A-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{K-Spades}{10-Diamonds}.

Kleiven Doubles

Level 21 : 15,000/30,000, 4,000 ante

A raising war between Joachim Kleiven and David Hefner in a battle cutoff versus button ended with the Norwegian all in and at risk for 530,000. Hefner looked him up with the {K-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts} but failed to deal the final blow to the {A-Hearts}{J-Hearts} of Kleiven.

The board ran out {A-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}{10-Hearts} and both players exchanged their roles of middle and bigger stack. "Easy come, easy go," grinned Hefner shortly after.

Ferroni Shows a Jack

Level 21 : 15,000/30,000, 4,000 ante

Loic Francois min-raised from the hijack and received two callers in Loic Francois from the cutoff and Pierre Antona on the button. The latter had shoved the previous hand from the small blind and folded to a bet of 90,000 by Ferroni on the {8-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{J-Clubs} flop.

Francois also let go and the pot went towards Ferroni, who flashed the {J-Hearts} before stacking the chips.
