Welcome to Day 1c of the 2016 Winamax SISMIX Main Event

Casino de Marrakech
Casino de Marrakech

The final of the three starting days of the 2016 Winamax SIXMIX Main Event at the Casino de Marrakech in sunny Morocco is scheduled to get underway in less than 30 minutes at 12:00 local time. In the first two flights, 472 players joined the field with 98 survivors making it through to Day 2.

Day 1a chip leader Cheng-Wei Yin from Belgium currently maintains a formidable lead against the mostly French field with 307,500 chips. Andre Mabille was on top of yesterday's action ending Day 1b with 217,000 chips.

Many Winamax Team members were in attendance for during the first two opening flights with many more expected today. Thus far, Florian Decamps has led the way among the exclusive group of players heading into Day 2 with 95,500 chips.

In addition, six WInamax VIP footballers entered yesterday's action with only Guillaume Gillet surviving the day with 145,000 chips.

Players once again will begin the day with 20,000 chips with blind levels increasing every 45 minutes providing plenty of play. Last year's Day 1c field featured 411 entrants, and it is expected that this year's field size to be around the same.

Also on today's schedule is the 1,600 MAD (€147) Le Totem at 5:00 p.m., the 600 MAD (€55) La Fievre satellite at 8:00 p.m., the 500 MAD (€46) Saturday Party Nabab at 9:00 p.m., and the 1,400 MAD (€129) Hyperturbo Freezeout at 10:00 p.m. Also many players will be enjoying parties at the pool, social club, and theater throughout the day and night.

Stay tuned for coverage coming your way shortly.

Simon Vaur Eliminated

Level 2 : 75/150, 0 ante

During the first two opening days, not a single player was eliminated during the opening blind level. France's Simon Vaur bucked the trend, by busting out of the tournament right before Level 2 began.

All is not lost for Vaur. As an "award" for being the first player eliminated a seat worth 3,200 MAD (€194) to the two-day La Fièvre tournament which kicks off tomorrow.
