The field has grown to 202 entrants, which is just 94 shy of the amount that participated yesterday. This is still less than half of the Day 1c field size that took place during last year's Winamax SISMIX Main Event, and tournament organizers are expecting today to feature around the same amount of participants.
As she promised yesterday, Team Winamax pro Aurélie Quélain is back in action joining other late registrants on table 39 including David Laka Calzada, Kewan Bagheri, Pierre Antoine Quignard, Stephane Levy, and Phillippe Garay.
Last year, Quélain finished in 9th place in the Winamax SISMIX Main Event for 73,000 MAD which at the time was approximately worth €7,300 and is hoping to improve on that performance during this year's event.
Every day during SISMIX, there not only is poker, but also music and partying. Today is no different, as players not playing in today's Day 1c, can head to the pool for a fun party and sun hosted by Claude M, Kech Experience, and PiLC.
Blinds just increased to 100/200. The first 20 minute break is scheduled to take place as soon as this blind level is over. Players will then come back to blinds still at 100/200, but also this time with an ante of 25.
While still no sign of well-known Team Winamax pros Alexandre Luneau or Davidi Kitai in action today, Gaëlle Baumann kept her promise from yesterday and has rejoined the action today for Day 1c. Joining in near the end of Level 1, she has already gained some ground increasing her 20,000 starting stack to 25,000 chips.
Spain's Leo Margets was another popular player to be eliminated early in Day 1b to not reenter yesterday. She is back in action for Day 1c and is up to 25,000 in chips.
Earlier we mentioned Winamax VIP and footballer Bernard Mendy rejoined the action for Day 1c. His stack has dwindled by 25 percent to 15,000 chips. Fellow Winamax VIP and footballer Camel Meriem was also noticed in the field with the same 15,000 stack on another table.
Day 1b which took place yesterday featured 294 players. We are already at that number today just before the first break with 264 players remaining. Late registration will remain open until Level 8 with players allowed one re-entry if they are eliminated before it closes.
