Daniel Fuhs Eliminated in 9th Place ($32,623)

Level 28 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante
Daniel Fuhs
Daniel Fuhs

Dean Bobel moved in for 665,000 under the gun, and Grant Hinkle called in the cutoff. Daniel Fuhs jammed in the big blind for a hair more, and Hinkle called as well.

Bobel: {a-Spades}{10-Diamonds}
Hinkle: {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}
Fuhs: {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}

The {3-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{9-Clubs} flop helped nobody, but Bobel surged into the lead with an {a-Clubs} on the turn. The river was a {6-Spades}, and Fuhs had 80,000 left, which he doubled, while Bobel tripled up.

Moments later, Fuhs was all in preflop and called by Jeff Duvall and Gordon Vayo. Vayo bet and Duvall folded on a {q-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} flop, and Fuhs' {q-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} was revealed to be way behind Vayo's {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}. Two bricks later, Fuhs was out ninth.

Blind vs Blind with Hinkle & Vayo

Level 29 : 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante

Grant Hinkle raised to 200,000 out of the small blind with no action in front of him. Gordon Vayo called from the big blind, the flop came {Q-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{4-Spades} and both players checked. The turn came {A-Diamonds}, Hinkle bet 300,000 and Vayo called. The river came {Q-Hearts}, Hinkle checked and Vayo bet 650,000.

Hinkle announced call and mucked after Vayo tabled {Q-Diamonds}{J-Clubs} for trip queens.

Jeff Duvall
Jeff Duvall

Jeff Duvall jammed in for 660,000 in middle position. Long Nguyen called in the hijack, and action folded to Chino Rheem in the big blind. He moved all in as well, for 1,805,000 more. Nguyen mucked in short order, saying he had two tens.

Rheem: {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}
Duvall: {9-Clubs}{8-Clubs}

The board ran out {k-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{4-Spades}{5-Spades} and Duvall hit the rail, shaking hands with everyone and saying how great his experience was.

Long Duc Nguyen opened to 225,000, Gordon Vayo called from the big blind and the flop came {K-Spades}{9-Hearts}{8-Clubs}. Vayo check-called 325,000, the turn came {6-Diamonds} and both players checked. The river came {6-Clubs}, Vayo bet 275,000 and Nguyen raised to 800,000.

Vayo took some time, remained motionless and then put in a calling stack. Nguyen turned up {Q-Hearts}{J-Clubs} for a bluff and Vayo tabled {Q-Spades}{Q-Clubs} and took the pot with his queens.

Bobel Gets Flack to Fold

Level 29 : 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante

Layne Flack raised to 235,000 in the hijack and got two callers. He fired 520,000 on the {10-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{8-Clubs} flop, and Grant Hinkle got out of the way in the cutoff. Dean Bobel in the big blind was less inclined to muck, and he tanked about two minutes before announcing all in. It was 1.23 million total.

"I can't beat much, but I can beat a draw," Flack mused. "I think you were Hollywooding me to make me think you have a draw."

After a few minutes, he revealed the {a-Diamonds} and said he was folding.

Cold Four-Bet Jam

Level 30 : 60,000/120,000, 20,000 ante

Gordon Vayo opened for 250,000 in middle position and Chino Rheem fired in a three-bet to 625,000 next to act. Action folded to Long Duc Nguyen and he jammed it in right away. Vayo mucked and Rheem got the count: 1,780,000.

"I have tens," Rheem said, leaning back with a smile. "That's my hand."

Nguyen said nothing.

"What, you forgot how to talk now?" Rheem asked.

"Do what you want, man," Nguyen responded with a grin.

Finally, Rheem mucked. Nguyen said he had jacks, then admitted he was lying and said it was ace-king.

"Why Are You So F'n Good?"

Level 30 : 60,000/120,000, 20,000 ante
Gordon Vayo
Gordon Vayo

Long Duc Nguyen opened to 300,000 on the button and Gordon Vayo called from the big blind. The flop came {6-Clubs}{3-Spades}{2-Clubs}, Vayo checked and Nguyen bet 400,000. Vayo called, the turn was {K-Diamonds} and both players checked. The river came {7-Clubs}, Vayo took some time and bet 935,000.

Nguyen sat back in his chair, tilted his cap and said, "Why are you so f'n good?"

The rest of table laughed, Vayo barely reacted and Nguyen went deep into the tank. He counted out a calling stack, counted what he had behind and sat back to think some more.

Nguyen pushed the call in and Vayo tabled {5-Clubs}{4-Clubs} for a flopped straight and rivered flush.

"I didn't put him on a flush," Nguyen said, baffled, counting his stack back.

"Gordon, I know you're playing in the Main Event and all but I'll tell you your strengths and weaknesses right now," Layne Flack said.

"Well my strengths are flopping monsters," Vayo said smiling.

"His weakness is not hitting the {3-Clubs} for the straight flush," Chino Rheem added.
