Ormsby Eliminated by Aucoin

Level 12 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante
David Ormsby
David Ormsby

David Ormsby moved all-in for 91,500 from under the gun and it was Eric Aucoin on the button that made the call.

Ormsby was at risk with live cards holding {8-Hearts}{7-Hearts}. Aucoin tabled {q-Hearts}{j-Clubs} and immediately made a pair of jacks as the dealer fanned a flop reading {k-Spades}{j-Spades}{6-Hearts}. The turn was the {6-Diamonds} and Ormsby was left drawing dead to the {2-Hearts} on the river.

"I feel like a professional player" laughed Aucoin as he raked in the pot.

The Ladies Can't Hold for Puzantian

Level 12 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante
Allan Puzantian
Allan Puzantian

We got to the table as Allan Puzantian was all-in for about 90,000 after coming over the top of an open from Peter Chien. Chien called and the cards were on their backs.

Puzantian was the player at risk with {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}, up against Chien's {6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}. He needed to dodge a six but couldn't do so, as the flop came {j-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{6-Clubs}. The turn was the {8-Hearts} and the river was the {4-Diamonds} to send Puzantian to the rail.

Billard Turns the Ship Around

Level 12 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante
Francois Billard
Francois Billard

Pablo Mariz opened to 13,500 from the cutoff and called a three-bet jam of 99,000 from Francois Billard on the button.

Billard: {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs}
Mariz: {a-Spades}{q-Clubs}

Mariz flopped huge as the dealer fanned out {q-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}. Billard needed a jack and that's just what he got, improving to a full house when the {j-Spades} landed on the turn.

The river was the {8-Hearts} and Billard raked in the pot, doubling to over 200,000.

Lefrancois Triples, Lucci Out

Level 12 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante

Pascal Lefrancois moved all-in preflop on the button and Gary Lucci out himself at risk, calling for slightly less in the small blind. Peter Chien though for a moment in the big blind, eventually making the call to put both players at risk.

Lefrancois: {a-Clubs}{2-Clubs}
Lucci: {a-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}
Chien: {a-Hearts}{j-Spades}

The board ran out {2-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} and Lefrancois scooped the pot with his pair of deuces, busting Lucci, and taking a chunk out of Chien.

Watson Finds New Life

Level 12 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante

Douglas Watson lost most of his chips to Pablo Mariz a few hands ago and was left with just 26,500. He shoved from the small blind the next hand and got a fold from the big blind.

In the next hand, Francois Billard raised to 12,000 from the cutoff and Watson jammed on the button for about 35,000. Billard called.

Douglas Watson: {a-Hearts}{8-Hearts}
Francois Billard: {a-Spades}{7-Spades}

Watson had the best of it, but the likelihood of a chop was fairly good. The flop came {6-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{2-Clubs} and Watson picked up a flush draw. The turn was the {a-Clubs} and the river was the {6-Spades}. Both players ended up with two pair aces and sixes but Watson's eight played and he doubled up.
