The first of four live Day 1's begins today with Day 1a of the $1,100 Playground1000 event. There's $1,000,000 guaranteed in the prize pool so this is one you definitely don't want to miss!
Day 1 online is already in the books with 16 players advancing to Day 2 on Monday, September 4th at 5:00 p.m. at the Playground Poker Club.
Today's play begins at 12:00 p.m. local time and players will start the day with 100,000 in tournament chips. They will play nine levels at 60-minutes a piece at which time the remaining players will come back for Day 2 on Monday. There is a 45-minute dinner break after the sixth level, with 15-minute breaks as usual every two levels.
Registration will close after Level 12 on Day 2, and players can enter once and re-enter once more on each Day 1. Should a player advance with two stacks on Day 2, the biggest stack will remain in play. Those players may reserve their second stack to be played on Day 2 if they wish.
Days 1a through 1c will play nine, 60-minute levels whereas Day 1d is a turbo and will play nine, 20-minute levels.

With about 70,000 in the pot on the river of a board, Thomas Cemm checked and Anthony Ha blasted away, moving all-in.
Cemm sat back, annoyed by the sudden turn of events. Cemm prodded Ha for information but Ha sat poised, not giving up anything.
Eventually, Cemm found a fold saying he had ace-king and Ha commended his fold.

Patrick Cartier bet 2,300 on the turn of a board and got two callers, including Peter Chien. The completed the board on the river and Cartier bet 6,000. Chien took a moment before raising to 27,000, forcing the third player in the hand to fold.
Cartier thought briefly before tossing in a calling chip to see Chien table . Chien's two pair wasn't good as Cartier turned over for a flush and raked in the pot.
