It's Another Busy Night at Playground Poker Club

Level 12 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

There are 51 players remaining in the CPPT Day 1a. Meanwhile, the only $550 starting flight for the $200,000 Guarantee Quantum No-Limit Hold em tournament started not too long ago, with 20% of that field set to make it through to Day 2 on September 13.

At the same time as the tournament tables fill up with cash game players, in the corner of the room, five players are playing for over $70,000. The final table of the $5,400 No-Limit Hold em tournament is tournament has burst the bubble and the five remaining are guaranteed at least $21,000. Check out coverage of the final table.

Marc-Etienne McLaughlin is currently the chip leader.

Jasdeep Rai Eliminated by Marc Andre Ladouceur

Level 13 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante
Marc Andre Ladouceur
Marc Andre Ladouceur

Jasdeep Rai shoved all in on the {k-Spades}{10-Spades}{4-Spades} flop for about 60,000. Marc Andre Ladouceur was next to act and asked for a count. While the dealer was counting out the chips, Ladouceur had a chunk of chips in his hand and was slowly lowering them onto the felt to call.

He called and showed {a-Spades}{j-Clubs} for a gut-shot and a flush draw. He was behind the {k-}{8-} of Rai, who had one pair. The turn was the {6-Spades} though and completed the flush draw, sending Rai home in 43rd place.

Peter Chien Can "Beat Some Stuff"

Level 14 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Peter Chien just came from behind to double up after getting all in preflop. He held {a-}{q-} against the {a-}{k-} of his opponent.

"You think I'm making a move?" his opponent asked when he saw the hands.

He had raised from the button and Chien likely reraised from the blinds. His opponent shoved and Chien called off his remaining stack with ace-queen.

"I beat some stuff," Chien replied.

The flop made short work of the drama when it rolled out a straight for Chien. The {k-Spades}{j-Spades}{10-Diamonds} flop was completed by the {3-Hearts} on the turn and the {5-Hearts} on the river. Chien doubled up.
