Day 1d of the World Cup of Cards Event #1: NL Hold'em Quantum is complete. Tuesday evening's flight attracted another 56 entries to Playground Poker Club in Kahnawake, QC. This was the fourth of ten starting flights for the $200,000 guaranteed event.

The unique event features multiple buy-in levels with a different percentage making Day 2 for each. Day 1d had an entry fee of $250 with 10% of the field moving on. There were six spots up for grabs, each receiving a $400 bonus for qualifying.

Heading into the final table the two chip leaders, Jonathan Bussieres and David Cadoche, had both previously qualified for Day 2, each bagging stacks on Day 1c. As a special reward, anyone who qualifies for Day 2 multiple times will receive a $1,500 bonus for each stack they forfeit, in addition to the $400 prize.

Both Bussieres and Cadoche would be successful in their attempt and walked away Tuesday night with $1,900. Having already bagged a top stack, Bussieres was unable to improve but will remain among the leaders heading into Day 2. Cadoche, on the other hand almost tripled his previous stack making a huge improvement.

Kyle Janisse ended play with the biggest stack, bagging just under 300,000. Through four flights, Janisse sits in the top five overall. Here is how the Day 1d survivors stacked up:

It's Quantum Time Again; Day 1d Set For 7 p.m.

The World Cup of Cards is in full gear at the Playground Poker Club in Kahnawake, Quebec. Day 1d of Event #1: NL Hold'em Quantum starts at 7 p.m. local time. This is the fourth of ten starting flights, with buyins as low as CAD $170 up to CAD $2,200, which is a direct buy-in to Day 2.

This evenings buy-in is $250 with the top 10% of the field qualifying for Day 2. Players will start with 15,000 chips and blinds will increase every 20 minutes until the 10th level, switching to 30 minutes after.

There have been 399 total entries received through the first two starting flights. Just 39 players have booked their seat into Day 2.

Every player who makes Day 2 from any of the Quantum starting flights will receive CAD $400. Players can finish multiple starting flights and take their biggest stack forward. Each time a player makes Day 2 they will earn $400 CAD and $1,500 for each forfeited stack.

This is just the first event on the 28-event schedule. Players will be able to compete all month for their share of the CAD $2,000,000 guaranteed in prize money throughout the World Cup of Cards.
