Matsumura Doubles Twice

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

In the first hand Eiji Matsumura moved all in for his last 26,000 with {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} and was called by Dylan Honeyman who had {k-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}. His pair of tens held on and he moved up to 60,500.

Two hands later and Matsumura would once again move all in totalling 59,500 in chips. Alexander Antonios made the call from the button and both players tabled their cards.

Antonios: {a-Spades}{q-Spades}
Matsumura: {a-Clubs}{3-Hearts}

This time Matsumura was crushed until the board ran out {10-Spades}{4-Clubs}{5-Spades}{j-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} to see him catch a deuce on the river to complete a straight moving him up to 130,000 in chips.

Pickering Runs Into the Nuts

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Jamie Pickering raised to 12,000 from under the gun and Kyle Montgomery called from the button, both players in the blinds folded. On the {2-Spades} {A-Clubs} {6-Clubs} flop, Pickering check-called 14,000 chips and did so again for 25,000 after the {K-Diamonds} turn. The {8-Clubs} completed the board on the river and Pickering checked for the third time.

Montgomery now bet 85,000 and Pickering eventually made the call for approximately half of his remaining stack. He mucked his cards when the start-of-the-day chip leader showed {K-Clubs} {Q-Clubs}.

Teng Empire Building

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

The action started with Jackie Glazier raising to 10,000 from the hijack before Victor Teng bumped it up to 25,000 from the button. The blinds got out of the way and Glazier made the call.

The flop came down {k-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{j-Spades} and Glazier checked. Teng threw out 22,000 and was called before the {2-Hearts} made its way on the turn. This time Glazier led out for 45,000 and was quickly called as the {8-Diamonds} completed the board.

Glazier checked and Teng reached for his chips and splashed out 69,000. Glazier made the quick call but mucked her hand when Teng rolled over his {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts} for top pair.
