Giuliano Wins Before The Break

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Just before the dinner break, Jack Salter raised to 44,000 from under the gun plus one. Henry Wang and Jason Giuliano called from the blinds and the three watched the flop come down {9-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{8-Clubs}.

The blinds checked over to Salter who threw out a continuation bet of 54,000. Only Giuliano made the call as the {5-Spades} dropped on the turn. Both players opted to check their options before doing the same on the {3-Spades} river.

Salter tabled his {k-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} for king-high, but it was no match against Giuliano’s {a-Hearts}{4-Hearts} which paired up on the flop.

Ten-High for Giuliano

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Jack Salter opened to 44,000 from early position and both Henry Wang and Jason Giuliano called from the blinds as the {7-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{2-Spades} flop was checked round.

The turn landed the {5-Diamonds} and following a check from Wang, Giuliano bet out 125,000 with only Salter calling as the river landed the {A-Spades}.

"Sick river card man!" announced Giuliano before he pushed out a bet of 275,000.

As Salter went into the tank, he turned to Giuliano and asked, "Was that the only card you could hit because it was in your hand?"

Salter deliberated for a few more moments before adding, "What was sick about it?"

"Sick has a different meaning in Australia" Giuliano responded.

"What does it mean here?" asked Salter.

Giuliano then went quiet as Salter continued to tank. Another minute or two went by and Salter eventually folded.

Giuliano raked in the pot to take him to 2.2 million, and while doing so, tabled his {10-Hearts}{8-Hearts} for complete air.

Chop It Up

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

From the hijack, Jack Salter opened to 44,000 and Scott Davies moved all in from the small blind for 305,000 with Salter calling.

Salter: {A-Clubs}{K-Hearts}
Davies: {A-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}

With Davies in bad shape, the {2-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{3-Spades} flop gave him outs to a chop as well as additional outs to stay alive by making the wheel.

The turn landed the {Q-Spades} to increase the chop outs, and when the {3-Clubs} fell on the river, the pot was chopped up.
