Smuskevicius Makes an Early Exit

Level 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

Just eight minutes into Day 1, Oleg Ustinovich opened for 600 under the gun and Scott Song three-bet to 1,600 from the cutoff. Boris Smuskevicius flatted from the small blind and Ustinovich called to make it three-way action to a flop of 2710.

Two checks saw Song continue for 1,000 and both his opponents called, which brought about the 4 on the turn.

Both Smuskevicius and Ustinovich checked again, and only the former called when Song bet 5,000.

Smuskevicius checked for a third time when the 4 paired the board on the river and Song thought for a bit before moving all in for 18,700. Smuskevicius, who had just a little less than that, quickly called off and showed the 10J for two pair, but it was no good as Song rolled over the AA for a bigger two pair.

Yanovsky Can't Get Away from Broadway as He Makes an Early Exit

Level 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante
Eric Yanovsky

With a sizeable pot already built, the completed board of JJ109A was on the table and Eric Yanovsky had checked from the small blind and faced a bet of 15,500 from Yanchao Zhao, enough to put Yanovsky all-in.

Yanovsky looked in pain as he said, "I have stone top," and splashed his stack of about 15,000 across the line. Zhao tabled 1010 for a full house and Yanovsky attempted to muck his hand, but because it was an all-in and call, the dealer tabled his KQ, showing Broadway as he exited out the door.

Peacock Chipping Up

Level 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

Oleksii Mezhenkov opened 500 under the gun and Arthur Peacock three-bet 1,900 next to act. The action folded back around to Mezhenkov and he made the call.

The dealer fanned a flop of 743, and Mezhenkov check-called a continuation bet of 1,500.

When the 2 hit the turn, Mezhenkov checked and Peacock continued for 6,500. This time that was enough to drag the pot as Mezhenkov mucked his hand.
