Vladimir Malak Eliminated in 13th Place (€6,100)

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Vladimir Malak
Vladimir Malak

In the previous hand, Vladimir Malak had lost almost 180,000 chips to the {J-Hearts} {3-Hearts} of Zo Karim when the American raised to 24,000 preflop and then generated further action on a board of {J-Spades} {6-Hearts} {A-Hearts} {J-Diamonds} {5-Diamonds}.

The next hand Karim opened again and Malak moved all in for 130,000 with {7-Hearts} {7-Spades}. Karim snap-called with {A-Spades} {K-Spades} and won the flip with the board running out {2-Hearts} {8-Spades} {6-Spades} {K-Hearts} {5-Hearts}.

"I will eventually have to lose one of those," Karim said while stacking his chips. The American has regained the lead and Malak was the last local player. For his 13th place finish, he takes home €6,100

Klüpfel Folds the River

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Simeon Naydenov raised from the button to 20,000 and called the three-bet of Jonathan Klüpfel for 45,000. On the {K-Hearts} {9-Clubs} {10-Hearts} flop, both players checked and the German then check-called a bet of 45,000 on the {10-Spades} turn. The {8-Spades} river saw yet another check by Klüpfel and he tank-folded to a bet of 207,000 by Naydenov.

Seth Doubles Through Piquette

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Jean-Philippe Piquette raised the button and called the all in of Andy Seth for 212,000 with {A-Spades} {K-Diamonds}. Seth only had {J-Spades} {10-Spades} but connected with the board {J-Clubs} {2-Diamonds} {7-Spades} {9-Diamonds} {7-Diamonds}. The French-Canadian is now down to only 10 big blinds and in desperate need of a double up.

Lakhov versus Langrock

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Alexander Lakhov raised from the button and Sebastian Langrock called one seat over from the button, the players in the blinds folded. On the {4-Clubs} {5-Clubs} {k-Spades} flop, Lakhov bet 25,000 and Langrock raised to 60,000, which was called by the Russian. The {5-Diamonds} on the turn was checked and Lakhov bet 110,000 on the {10-Clubs} river.

Langrock tanked for two minutes and then called, Lakhov mucked his cards and declared defeat.

Pepi Very Short Again

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Salvatore Pepi was all in and at risk with {A-Diamonds} {8-Hearts}. He had the better kicker compared to the {A-Clubs} {6-Hearts} of Simeon Naydenov but they chopped the pot after a board of {Q-Diamonds} {3-Clubs} {10-Clubs} {K-Spades} {3-Spades}.

Over on table 80, Mathias Kürschner was all in preflop but didn't get called. The German tabled {Q-Diamonds} {Q-Clubs} before raking in the chips.

Jean-Philippe Piquette Eliminated in 12th Place (€7,500)

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Jean-Philippe Piquette
Jean-Philippe Piquette

Jean-Philippe Piquette moved all in for 165,000 from the button and Alex Goulder called in the big blind. Both players tabled their cards and it was a classic coin flip.

Goulder: {7-Hearts} {7-Spades}
Piquette: {A-Hearts} {8-Hearts}

Two over cards and the flush draw for the French-Canadian would not improve on a board of {2-Diamonds} {5-Clubs} {Q-Clubs} {2-Spades} {K-Clubs} and Piquette takes 12th place for €7,500.
