Day 4 Started

The Hunt For the Final Table is On!

Pavel Plesuv
Pavel Plesuv

With just 18 players remaining everyone entering today has a decent shot at making the World Poker Tour Prague final table. The favorite heading into Day 4 is without a doubt Moldovan Pavel Plesuv, who takes 1.2 million chips with him to the action. Pavel Veksler is the only other player with more than a million chips, while accomplished pros Sergio Aido, Ihar Soika and Steve O'Dwyer are also in good shape.

The goal today is to get down to a final table of six, and PokerNews will be right there with you for all your live coverage.

Benhalima Never Bluffs

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Abdelkader Benhalima
Abdelkader Benhalima

After unknown action we saw a board of {5-Spades}{9-Spades}{6-Hearts}{A-Clubs} when the action was on Ihar Soika. It looked as though Abdelkader Benhalima checked from the big blind to David Abreu who bet 48,000 and Soika called. From the big blind Benhalima then shoved for 201,000 total, and Abreu folded his cards.

Soika went into the tank for quite some time before folding, and Benhalima celebrated as he was pushed the pot.

"PokerNews, PokerNews," Benhalima yelled," Look."

Benhalima proudly showed his {K-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}, and cheered loudly, as he asked Soika, "No ace?"

"Oh la la, no bluff, never bluff!" Benhalima continued, as his contagious chuckle had the other players laughing loudly as well.

Benhalima dodged a bullet with his pocket kings, and he's now off to a great start on Day 4.

Sergio Aido's surge continues, as he's just knocked out French-Canadian pro Yann Dion. Dion, who got knocked down to a short stack after losing a big three-way all in, just shoved from the small blind for 44,000 after Aido raised from the button. Aido called, creating the following showdown.

Aido: {K-Spades}{Q-Clubs}
Dion: {K-Diamonds}{10-Spades}

The board ran out {A-Spades}{3-Spades}{6-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{A-Diamonds} and Dion was knocked out in 15th place. Aido now sits in third place on the chip counts as the tables were balanced by moving David Abreu to Aleksandar Denishev's former seat.

Igor Yaroshevskyy
Igor Yaroshevskyy

The action just folded to Igor Yaroshevskyy in the small blind and he moved all in for 111,000 and Pavel Veksler, in the big blind, tanked for a little while before making the call.

Veksler: {K-Spades}{10-Spades}
Yaroshevskyy: {A-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}

The board ran out {Q-Spades}{J-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} and Yaroshevskyy gave a fist bump to his friends on the rail before stacking up his freshly won chips. The Ukrainian pro is one of the most experienced players left in the tournament, and he's this much close to being a real contender with 14 players remaining.
