"Of Course You Don't Know!"

Level 1 : 50/100, 0 ante
Simeon Naydenov
Simeon Naydenov

"If I five bet pre you call, huh?" asked Simeon Naydenov as we approached table 30. "I don't know" answered Wilfried Haselmayer from Austria two positions down. "Of course you don't know" said a steaming Naydenov, "Four bet eights, flop eight four four, of course!"

The board read {4-Spades}{8-Spades}{4-Hearts}{10-Spades}{9-Diamonds} and Naydenov had gotten it all in on the turn with {K-Spades}{K-Clubs} up against {8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}. Naydenov clearly wasn't happy with what had happened, smashing his kings on the table so hard the dealer probably had to call for a new deck.

The turn all in was for 23,000, but Naydenov apparently had already won a big pot before that as he still had 15,000 left after the hand.

No Flush Can Beat Troyanovskiy

Level 2 : 75/150, 0 ante
Vladimir Troyanovskiy
Vladimir Troyanovskiy

Vladimir Troyanovskiy opened under the gun plus one to 350 and he received four calls; a player in middle position, the button, and both blinds.

The flop came {10-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{8-Hearts} and the blinds checked to Troyanovskiy. The Russian player made a continuation bet of 1,000 and the first player folded. The player on the button raised it up to 2,725, prompting the blinds to fold. Troyanovskiy made the call.

The turn came the {5-Clubs} and Troyanovskiy check called a bet of 3,300.

The {7-Clubs} on the river made for four clubs on the board. Troyanovskiy checked and his opponent quickly checked behind.

Troyanovskiy tabled {2-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} with a face not showing too much hope, but he turned a smile after his opponent mucked. The set was good, big pot for Troyanovskiy.

Koutoupas Flopped It!

Level 4 : 100/200, 25 ante
Sotiris Koutoupas
Sotiris Koutoupas

The player in the cut off opened for 500 and Sotirios Koutoupas in the small blind made the call after pondering for a second or two. The big blind came along for the ride and the three of them saw a flop: {7-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{2-Hearts}.

Action checked around and the {5-Spades} fell on the turn. Koutoupas bet out 1,000 and the big blind was quick to call, the initial raiser folded.

The {3-Clubs} completed the board and Koutoupas bet out 5,000 without giving it too much thoughts it appeared. The big blind made the call, but couldn't beat Koutoupas's flopped flush with {J-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}.

The big blind took one more glance at his cards, and mucked what was supposedly a straight.

Ana Marquez

Atanas Kavrakov opened the cutoff for 500 and Ana Marquez on the button made the call. Both blind called as well and a flop of {9-Spades}{3-Hearts}{9-Hearts} appeared. The players in the blinds checked to Kavrakov and the initial raiser bet 1,100. Just Marquez made the call, both blinds folded.

Kavrakov bet another 2,200 on the {8-Hearts} turn and again Marquez was the one calling.

The {Q-Clubs} fell on the river and Kavrakov now checked. Marquez bet 4,300 and Kavrakov was quick to fold.

Hit the Rail Heim and Don't You Come Back No More, No More, No More, No More

Level 5 : 150/300, 50 ante
Josef Klinger
Josef Klinger

Josef Klinger, Austria's all time money leader with more than $1.7 million in cashes, opened to 800. His neighbor on his left three bet to a whopping 4,000 which made everyone fold rather quickly. Everyone but Klinger that is.

According to our colleagues of the World Poker Tour Blog, Klinger frowned and made sure he heard the amount correctly before pushing all in. Heim made the call for his 20,000 stack.

Josef Klinger: {K-Spades}{K-Clubs}
Matthias Heim: {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts}

The {3-Spades}{7-Hearts}{4-Clubs} on the flop didn't bring much excitement, but the {Q-Hearts} on the turn was a dangerous card for Klinger. The {7-Clubs} on the river was a blank though and Heim hit the rail.

Klinger, who last cash in a poker tournament dates back to October 2010, is up to 77,000.

You shouldn't take the title of this post too serious by the way, Heim still has the option to re enter once today, and tomorrow if he wants to.

Pauli's Queens Are Good

Level 5 : 150/300, 50 ante
Sebastian Pauli
Sebastian Pauli

How good are German Players? And how damn many are there on the highest level? Those aren't sincere questions by the way, they're rhetorical.

In what other European country other than Germany can you win a huge tournament for $803,182, and only be the number 39 on the all time money list. Sebastian Pauli has well over a million in life time cashes, and he just barely made the top 40 of his country.

Anyway, he just won a decent pot, so that's why we started this little rant.

Nanos Konstantinos opened for 850 and EPT London champion Sebastian Pauli three bet to 2,500 from the big blind. Konstantinos made the call and the flop came {A-Spades}{8-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}.

Pauli bet 2,300 and Konstantinos made the call. Both players checked the {K-Spades} on the turn and so the {5-Clubs} on the river was seen without additional charge. Once more both players checked, and Pauli's {Q-Spades}{Q-Diamonds} turned out a winner.

Sofia Lövgren Eliminated

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante
Sofia Lövgren
Sofia Lövgren

We saw Sofia Lövgren standing on the rail with her telephone in her hands, probably texting her bust out details to the people back home.

Lövgren told us she lost most of her chips in a big hand not too long ago. Lövgren said she didn't show her cards in that hand, but she had a "big hand" which wasn;t good enough to beat her opponent's set of jacks.

She lost the remainder of her chips with {A-Spades}{8-Spades} against {K-}{J-}. "And he won the flip" she said. "Thats poker" she smiled.

Langrock Rocks No More

Level 7 : 250/500, 75 ante
Sebastian Langrock
Sebastian Langrock

Kristiyan Ivanov opened under the gun for 1,200 and his neighbor made the call. Alexios Zervos made the call as well, Sebastian Langrock in the hijack called, and Frederik Jensen added 700 from the big blind to close the action and see a flop.

The flop came {9-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{7-Spades} and action checked to Alexios Zervos who bet 2,800. Sebastian Langrock made the call, Frederik Jensen called, initial raiser Kristiyan Ivanov called, and the fifth player folded.

Four players to the turn which brought the {A-Diamonds} into play. Both Jensen and Ivanov checked. Zervos fired 8,400. Sebastian Langrock now shoved all in for 20,925. Jensen folded rather quickly, but Ivanov asked for a count. Ivanov eventually folded, Zervos instantly called.

Alexios Zervos: {8-Spades}{10-Spades}
Sebastian Langrock: {7-Clubs}{7-Hearts}

Langrock needed the board to pair, wouldn't be so lucky; {Q-Spades} on the river.

As Langrock made his way to the exit, saying it was his first set of the day while getting up, Jensen said "If he just calls, you bust" to Zervos. Jensen said he had {K-}{10-} for the flopped double gut shot, and would've filled up on the river. Ivanov later admitted he had {J-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} for the pair and flush draw on the turn. It all didn't matter to Zervos who now plays over 80,000 in chips.

Simunic Is Back (With A Vengeance) - Bye Bye Bruno

Level 8 : 300/600, 75 ante
Bruno Lopes
Bruno Lopes

Josip Simunic had just been eliminated by Dany Parlafes (who was in turn eliminated by Tibor Nagygyorgy not much later), but bought back in and took his seat one table over.

Simunic would immediately gain lots of chips.

He opened to 1,400 from the hijack and the player on the button made the call. Bruno Lopes in the big blind squeezed all in for 14,700 and Simunic took him up on the offer holding {K-Diamonds}{K-Spades}, the button got out of the way. Lopes had {Q-}{7-}.

The board came {J-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{5-Spades}{4-Spades}{6-Spades} and Simunic busted Lopes with his flush.
