It had already been announced previously that level 15 would be the last one for tonight and the Day 1b field has plummeted to fewer than 200 hopefuls with currently 188 players left out of 663 entries. Only the top 83 are set to advance, which means that more than half of the field will bag up and return tomorrow only to leave empty-handed.

Vietnam's Thi My Phuong Nguyen had been hiding almost all of her face behind shades and the hood of her jacket for most of the day while chirping very vividly in Vietnamese no matter if she was in the hand or not.

The most recent showdown hand saw her up against Ooh Kian Yeow and they checked the river of an ace-king high board and Yeow showed the K♥5♣ for second pair. Nguyen had that beat with K♦Q♣ for the superior kicker and that won the pot, followed by more excited chatter in her native language.
