There’s been a bit of history between these two players today. Mustafa Ercan had earlier taken a big 20,000 pot off Eli Srour when his had given him trips against Srour’s two pair with .
Srour was to have a measure of revenge in this hand though, as on a flop of Ercan bet, Srour raised and when Ercan announced all in he was quickly called. It was Ercan’s against the two pair of Srour with .
The last two cards were and the pot was pushed to a delighted Srour who now has a chance to repair the earlier damage. “I got my chips back. That was mine.” He felt moved to comment.
Roger Hairabedian has just sat down at the table after a good night in the big cash games. It's not going so well here though, he just lost a 10,000 pot when he couldn't beat Rami Shouman's on a board.
Immediately after writing the previous hand, we saw Roger Hairabedian having raised all in on the turn of a board. He'd moved in for 14,725 over the top of a 7,000 bet from Michalis Michael. The latter called and almost wanted to muck his hand when he saw Hairabedian's , Michael's was already drawing dead. The river went almost unnoticed by everyone.
Eli Strour was involved in another pot, this time with last woman standing on Day 1a, Jamilia Von Perger. He had bet 1,500 from the big blind on a final board of . Von Perger raised him and Strour looked like he was in a world of hurt. He couldn’t pass his hand though and when Von Perger showed him her he winced and turned over one of his cards . The pot was pushed to the German pro.
Mohamed Jawrey opened to 600 and got raised from the cut-off by Atnas Gueorguiev to 2,000. Jawrey was the only caller and they saw a flop of . Jawrey led right into him, flicking out a single 5,000 chip and so began his speech. “No shame in folding. It’s OK you can fold.”
“I don’t have that option.” Gueorguiev good naturedly replied as he made the call. Jawrey continued to talk, “You always have options. What about the re-raise?”
They saw a turn card of . Jawrey was in no mood to back down; this time the bet was 10,000. It was met with a confident “All in.” from Gueorguiev and less confident call from his talkative opponent.
Gueorguiev showed him the bad news while Jawrey held the lowly . He asked the dealer for a five but all he got in return was the and he was out.
